Durable solid connection.
Working in the audio field for many years I've tended to stay away from Hosa cables because they have been cheaply made and unreliable. However I was in a crunch and needed this splitter immediately. To my surprise this splitter worked flawlesly with a solid connection and No low sibilance or ground lift noise/hum. For the price you can't beat it. I think Hosa stepped their game up honestly, and started to make more reliable products judging from the quality of this cable. Over all it does what it's supposed to with no hassle, easy connectivity and no noise. Good purchase.

Works well for sending signal from iPod to powered speakers!
I used this to run an iPod / iPhone and create a simple DJ system (running the music directly in to 2 powered JBL EON speakers, via guitar cables). I was not sure if it would work, but the guitar cables got the signal to the left and right sides no problem (with the stereo field spread widely, and it worked great! Sure, I had a little less control than I would have with a PA head there, but I didn't have to bring a full PA system (can leave hte head at home where simpler setup or where there are space considerations. The sound was good, and I could use the iPod's EQ controls to adjust the sound to a certain extent.Great product, and very reasonably priced. Works exactly as I hoped!

Great headphone to quarter inch female Jack adapter
I use this adapter on my Boss pocket GT guitar effects processor to route the headphone output to either my mixer or to two separate PA/amp cabinets using an additional hosa set of stereo male-to-male extension cables.Should work great for any device with a 3.5 mm stereo headphone jack to route the audio wherever you want it to go

Hosa does not make defective products
it is a great signal splitter. I have used Hosa in the studio for years they make a quality product. Although it is not exactly what i thought it was when i ordered it. I was under the impression it was a mini stereo male plug to two male tip and ring female plugs.I will not send it back the price is right and I will need it next week ?Just wait and see. GREAT PRODUCT

Had to shave off some of the plastic/rubber
I have a "Teenage Engineering TX-6" that requires thin cables so I had to get a knife and shave down the sides a bit for this to fit. Works fine now.

It’s a breakout cable…. but it works!
It took me some time to find a stereo breakout cable. Seemingly, so many of the others produce two 1/4” mono outputs but this one gives the stereo reproduction of the TRS 3.5mm connector.
