Speck Products CandyShell Samsung Galaxy S4 Case - Black/Slate Grey

This is the first case I got for my white Verizon Wireless Samsung Galaxy S4 and it will probably be the only one I ever need at this rate! I have had this case for approximately three months and it has held up fantastically. I have dropped my phone numerous times, but the edges have protected my screen easily. I have taken it to the beach (where it was dropped in the sand a lot) and when I took out my phone, there wasn't any sand at all inside! There are nothing but pros for this case.PROS:Easy to put on/take offFits snuglyButtons and ports are very accessibleColor is accurate to description and product picturesHard shell outside makes it easy to slide into your pocket yet not out of your handsAs for those who are commenting on the case's scratch magnet back, I have NOT had a problem with that at all! By just looking at it from a normal distance, you can't tell that there is even a single scratch on it. It remains very attractive, but if you look at it closely, it is fairly scratched up. Maybe it's different for the black cases, but the White/Carribean Blue disguises the damage nicely.I would recommend it, even if the price is a little high. :) I have no worries about damaging my phone with this on it!

Really difficult to say, as this is just a phone case. I have not dropped my phone, "yet". I hope if I do drop my phone, this case is going to absorb the shock and prevent it from breaking.It came in a very simple package, so not hard to open. The button and areas for the camera and gadgets are perfectly lined up. I do not have to take my case off to charge my phone, so that is a plus. This one has a wider opening to allow for a thicker connector.Overall the case is easy to put your phone in and take it out. Is a little flexible, so it gives you some room for bending it. It is a tough case as well, so you wouldn't think it would have flexibility in it.If you are looking for something flashy, then probably not the case you want. If you are looking for something to protect your phone, then the case you might think about getting.

I wanted a hard case for my phone that could smoothly go into my pocket, but still allow me to hold it without a deathgrip. In addition, when I inevitably dropped my phone, I wanted the case to give some measure of protection. The Speck case meets both those needs. Since I've purchased the phone, the phone's emerged intact from the 3 or 4 times I've dropped it on a hard surface,. (Although the highest distance was only a few feet). I would've given it higher number of stars except the appearance is a little unsightly since the soft rubber that surrounds the edges of the power and volume buttons and the charger connector bulges out only after 5 months of use. That may be an issue if you're very concerned about maintaining the clean lines of your phone. Otherwise, it's been great at providing my phone the protection I wanted.

Looks very nice, and feels sturdy. The glossy finish on the back is easily smudged, but a simple wipe will take care of that. I have dropped my phone once in this case and it is fine, the case seems to be able to handle high impact. The case does not thicken the profile of the phone by much. I do not like how it is hard to remove since I feel like I am going to break either my phone or the case when removing my phone to change the battery/sim card. I wish it had a notch or a safer way to remove the phone from the case. Overall good case, but I don't know if it was worth the $35. Still, if you are in the market for that price range and want a slick looking and strong case then this is a solid choice.

Pros: Slick and thin. Slides in and out of pocket very easy. If it had grip stripes would not be so easy. Case is very very easy to put on and take off.Cons: Hard outer plastic stratches very easy. With the high gloss finish, the scratches/scuff marks are very notable. The open ports do not have flaps to keep lint, dust, water from going in.Over all: The images do not show the ports covered so you should be aware of not having flaps already. Just would be some goodthing to think about for the next case they make. Love the silicone and hard plastic fusion. Next best thing to my Otter Box case. Very thin bester then my Otter. Overall better then what I expected!

I decided to get this case because of the experience that I've had with other speck cases before. They are good products that offer great protection and look good as well. The buttons for the volume and power are solid, and the opening for the audio and charging cable are amply sized for everything I've tried plugging into my S4.This case is not without its downsides. The rubber makeup of the front rim and buttons does tend to stick in your pocket and make it awkward to remove from the pocket of gym shorts. It is a bit difficult to get your phone in/out of the case, but it doesn't take a feat of strength either. The backside of the protector does get noticeably scratched, but at least its the protector and not the phone.Overall, this is a great case that I trust to protect my phone from the majority of its rough and tumble life. I wouldn't have picked anything else.

If you are looking for a product that will protect your investment.. This is your case.. For me, protection is more valuable than anything else.However, this case does make the phone a bit bulkier compared to other cases out there. Also, it is a bit slick. I knew this coming in, but wanted to confirm other reviewers. Its not going to stay put on your dashboard, or on your lap, but it wont fall out of your hand either. So lets not get carried away on the slipperiness of this case. Overall its a glossier case. If grip is your thing, Speck has a grip case as well. Either way you go, you are going to jeopardize the sleekness of your phone a bit.Bottom line - its a great looking case with great protection for the value of a name brand case.

Love this case. Slim, decent shock protection and smooth edges so that it doesn't rip your pants up every time you grab your phone out of the pocket.

Como carcasa para proteger el móvil es más que adecuada a un precio razonable. Anteriormente tenía un modelo sumergible que se rompió en 3 semanas y abultaba muchísimo. Esta ya ha resistido varías caídas y protege un poco la pantalla ante rozaduras al sobresalir el borde de la goma por delante. Buen diseño.La única pega es que para algún cable de audio Jack 3.5", si el conector es muy ancho, no engancha. En algún caso he tenido que quitar la carcasa para conectar esa entrada.

Dass das S4 zwar ein technisch sehr leistungsfähiges Smartphone ist hat sich mittlerweile herumgesprochen. Ebenso, dass es fast so empfindlich ist wie ein rohes Ei. Das Xperia Z kam für mich wegen der schlechten Kamera nicht in Frage. Das HTC mochte ich wegen der "Unreparierbarkeit" auch nicht. Wie also das S4 am besten schützen? Das SpeckCandyShell Case kannte ich schon im iPhone her. Und auch beim S4 begeistert es wieder: die Passform ist perfekt und der Schutz ausgezeichnet! Und das Ganze sieht auch noch recht gut aus ;)

Protege de forma excelente el móvil. Combinado con un cristal templado el móvil está realmente bien protegido. Desde que lo tengo se me ha caído 2 veces y tanto la funda como el móvil perfectos.El único pero, es que el plástico trasero se ralla con facilidad, no es que me importe, pero enseguida se ve rallado. También engorda el móvil, y estéticamente pierde, no mucho, pero se nota bastante más gordo por supuesto. Excelente compra para mi.
