Because of the oval shape (rather than round), the rod does not sag at all - even with a lot of weight on it. The center support actually lends support to a shelf above it and keeps it from sagging. When there are many hangers on the rod, they slide back and forth with ease. I really scored a hit with my wife when I installed this in her closet.

Super easy and looks better than round!

After researching many options for a closet bar for my laundry room, I decided to install this since it was oval and much heavier-duty than other options I found. As expected, the item is very strong and feels quite premium. Hafele is the premium brand when it comes to closet bars.

Nice modern looking clothes rod! We cut to length, one for in an armoire and the rest of the length for the laundry room. Nice!
