Opening the Gates of Heaven: Walk in the Favor of Answered Prayer and Blessing

This is a good book. ALL of Perry's books are! They all have information and concepts that really get my brain and spirit thinking. I NEVER fail to learn from his books. He no longer sells on Amazon unfortunately, but I know that this is not one of those ministers that does it for the money, it helps benefit the free television show. He does not have a church, but does invest a lot of time helping youth and bringing the Word to people on a regular basis through OCI and such. He has a Facebook page if anyone wants information on that. You can also visit Voice of Evangelism on the web to see more materials. Also, if anyone is interested, I noticed several months ago, that Amazon now allows people to choose a charity and buy products through Smile.Amazon. I chose Voice of Evangelism as my recipient. It may not be tons of money, but it all helps and adds up. If you'd like to choose Perry or another minister or charity, I'd encourage you to sign up to it and do so. It's painless and they keep the same shopping cart in the Smile Amazon as the regular Amazon, as well as the same login info and payment info and such, so you don't have to do any switching around. One of the best Christian books I've ever read.....really. Perry writes simply but clearly so anyone can understand. I've had the privilege to meet him personally and listen to him preach as well. He is the real deal and that is what is so refreshing. Whether one is a new believer or an aged saint, his words are clear and on point. No matter how long one has walked with the Lord, we all need reassuring once in a while and Perry does that beautifully so we don't feel condemned nor judged.The best part for me was the explanation of the 'Days of Blessing' that is set for the coming year. I thought I understood Rosh Hashana and Yom Kippur but never with the clarity that Perry brings to the reader. Many years ago I wrote down a prayer with specific details and it was signed by me and 3 Christian friends. That prayer was answered and it amazed all of us because of the magnitude of the prayer and it proved just how big our God is! Remembering that prayer urged me to write down my request of blessing for the coming year while reading Perry's book. If God answers even one of those prayers I will be delighted but all of them would be awesome because He is an awesome God!Perry's life is proof that God can use anyone He chooses with the only requirement to have a heart committed to Jesus Christ.

I liked this book. As usual this author always gives you more than you bargin for. I loved how he started out by giving us the history and location of the gate and talked a little about the furniture in the tabernacle and the part our sences play with discernment. For all those that like to pray silently, prayer requires words but I must believe and expect God to do what he said. I have to walk in obedience if I want to be blessed and get rid of defilements if I want him to hear me. There was some really wonderful stuff with reguard to when God says no and waiting on the answer. He had an interesting perspective on premature death that we cause by not taking care of ourselves or being in an accident. We can pray amiss to consume on our own lust. I was truely blessed by this statement that a personal word confirms what God has already shown you. When you are waiting on God to open a door you feel pressured to excape by discovering God's will elsewhere. However, another apparent door is not necessarily God's direction. So check this book out there are so many truths something is bound to hit you where you live.

Well I love this book it bought great insight on God, it change my prayer life and my reading it’s awesome and I’m so glad that I got it so I can learn about heaven and God and this is the best book I’ve read other than the Bible

I love this book. It answers every question you ever wanted to know about the Holy Bible, God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit. The book relates to you as you read it, it is truly an amazing book. If anyone and everyone can get the chance to read it, they should. It brings understanding and clarity to how God loves us, why he loves us, and how to receive His promises and gifts.

This isn't a book filled with Perry Stone's opinions......no, it is scripture after scripture from God's word. Perry Stone just has a unique way of explaining scriptures in depth, making it a bit easier to readily apply the truth to our own lives. Perry Stone wants to give ALL of God's truths to people so that they can make right decisions and choices being led by God, not by man. Man, no matter how well intended, can make mistakes. God alone is pure and perfect.....his love, his ways & his word CANNOT fail. I would recommend this book to any Christian who wants a more intimate relationship with their Creator, and wants to learn how to walk in & experience the full blessing of running after righteousness, and the power of prayer led by the Holy Spirit.

This book was excellent, insightful and full of practical examples from real life experience of effective prayer models with proven results, easy to understand, explanations giving biblical application and precedence , I was impressed and encouraged to take my prayer life more seriously with humility but with great expectations of what one can achieve with God. The way in which Perry Stone explains and breaks down the scripture and the hidden meanings in the Greek/Aramaic and Hebrew leaves no guessing as to the intention behind them and makes this book a very valuable and worthwhile tool if you want to pray according to God's purposes.

I liked the way it was researched and the Hebrew and Greek words were explained. I will order this in paper for a research book.
