Please understand the principles of Radiant heating before you purchase!
Also, if your product was found out to be DOA, contact customer support to receive a replacement product. Negative review does not help if you ended up getting full refund or a replacement product. This product is NOT meant to increase the temperature of the room it's placed in. (It may, if the room is small)This product is intended to WARM YOU or the object the radiation is hitting. I've been using it primarily indoors, and almost 24/7 for 2 weeks. now. I did not experience any malfunctions. The bulb did not burn out, rotation function works well. With that said, the product works best if it's within 2~3 ft from you. Any further, the rays are too dispersed to hit you sufficiently. The best feature perhaps is how it does not emit too much visible light when it's on. This is due to the fact that the heating element is made out of Carbon fiber. This makes the product ideal for at night use. Some of the ceramic/quarts heating element radiation heaters I've experienced before certainly emits more visible light than this. This product is perhaps the most economical Carbon fiber radiant heater available in the US right now. If it gets any more expensive than $60, I would have not purchased it. However, at this price and its comparative heating efficiency over other radiant heaters, this product is worth purchasing.

Didn't work
It oscillates, but nothing else. Out of the box, the coil does not make any noise, change colors or heat anything. Returning piece of junk.

Works well but only at a close range
Purchased for my patio for outside visits. Works well for 2 people but 4 socially distanced it does not put out enough heat. Still, happy i purchased. I was looking for lower amp unit and this fit the bill.

Had problems, but customer service is first rate
My wife likes these heaters to warm her up while doing yoga in the basement. They work best projecting warmth on you, rather than heating a room, which they can also do.We bought three. Two worked perfectly, and one would not oscillate. Customer service was extremely responsive and immediately provided a fully functioning replacement. So, minus a star or two for the defective heater, and plus a few stars for excellent customer service.

Poor Quality
This heater quit working right out of the box. I plugged it in, it got warm for about 30 seconds then quit. I’ll be returning it.

Adequate small-space heater
Where I live in coastal North Carolina, most homes are optimized for the long, hot Southeastern summers - and it's common to find homes underpowered when it comes to heat. Most of the year, this isn't an issue, but when outside temperatures dip into the 20's or 30's, my home can be cold and drafty, and my heating system struggles to keep up.I had hoped to find an unobtrusive space heater to help me stay warmer on these cold days, so I was eager to try out the Remington unit. I like the silent, fanless nature of radiant heaters, and from the description, the Remington seemed like a good fit for my needs.Out of the box, this heater is trivial to get setup. It's somewhat larger than you might expect, and it looks much more like a bug zapper than a heater. It's not a super-expensive product, but the construction quality is about average in my opinion, with plenty of plastic parts that seem like they may not last very long. Operating the heater is simple - plug it in, turn it on and you're good to go. You can control things like the Hi/Lo heat settings, whether it oscillates, and how far it oscillates (120 or 270 degrees). In operation, the radiant heater is silent unless it's oscillating, and then you hear a bit of motor noise and clicking as it reaches the limits of oscillation. It consumes 1200 watts, which is definitely on the low side - at my $0.10/kWh energy rate, this means I can run it for about 8 hours for a dollar's worth of electricity. As you'd expect from a radiant heater, the external parts generally stay cool to the touch.A few times, after running for several hours in oscillating mode, the unit would just stop moving...unplugging it and allowing it to cool down seemed to solve the problem, so I suspect something is just overheating. As to the heating performance, a lot will depend on your expectations. If your goal is to heat a large room by 10-20 degrees, this isn't the heater for you. On the other hand, if you're looking for something that you can keep a few feet away and it'll keep you warm, this might be a fine solution. To give you an idea, today is a cold night on the NC coast: it's 28 degrees outside, and my heating system is struggling to keep the inside of my home at about 63, so it's chilly in here. On the unit's highest setting, I find that if I'm able to sit within about 6 feet of the unit, I'm comfortable under these conditions. If there are several people to warm and you use the oscillating mode, this drops to maybe 4 feet or so from the unit. As you'd expect from a radiant heater, the room itself doesn't get measurably warmer - if I wander from one room to the next, temperatures seem about the same everywhere, until I get right in front of the heater's radiant energy. Of course, environments and tastes differ, so these are just examples...Bottom line is that if you're just a little chilly and you want a way to have a silent heater under your desk or in some other small space, this might be a great alternative - just don't expect it to heat a large space in a traditional way. Add to this the issues we had with the oscillating motor and what seems to be a mediocre build quality, and we end up at three stars for this Remington heater.

Wish I could recommend, but no.
Got 2 for my office. One would not power on and the other would not oscillate.By the way...they mis-spelled oscillation on the top.
