Rustins Quick Dry Outdoor Clear Varnish 500 ml Gloss

After years of neglect, it was time to spruce up the garden gate. It was green with mouldy growths. After a jet wash and dry then a good sanding, bits of wood filler the gate came out great after applying 5 coats of the varnish. First coat absorbed about a third of the can (as expected). There was enough remaining to add 4 more coats. Nice satin finish with a soft sheen (I prefer that to shiny gloss).

Brilliant product. Covers really well, easy to apply and this one tin did 2 x 2 seater garden benches. The benches now look like new. Added bonus is brush is cleaned with water.

Arrived on time, excellent coverage just what we wanted.

Bought to varnish an outdoor planter I made. Easy to apply and brushes washed clean well. Quite thin varnish though. Needed 2-3 coats. Looks good though and cheap enough.
