Fun stimulating enrichment for felines & humans. Worth trying out!
My cats don't love it, but I love the idea of this. Cat enrichment! I have seen people post videos of their cats just really getting into watching or interacting with these robotic fish. I had a suspicion that my cats would be indifferent, but I wanted to try it anyway. Even if I just got them to look at the fish, then I know they would have had a little enrichment to the day. Maybe I need to try a different bowl. I'll play around with these more. I have 3 cats, two of which are nearly 18 years old. My other is around 8. My now elderly kitties would have loved this when they were younger. They dont do much with toys these days, so I am always looking for ways to perk them up.The 4 fish (about 2.5"-3") are securely packaged in a small, slim container. Easy storage. They come equipped with batteries, so they are ready to go directly from box. This package also comes with additional batteries, which is great. The fish are pretty. Multiple colors on a semi transparent body. The fin.tail starts moving once it touches water, so there is no need to mess with an on/off switch. They make a little noise, nothing scary. The impressive thing is how cool they look in the water. They look and act like fish! At least *I* was entertained looking at these. I am really taken with these. I love watching the fish swim around- they look quite natural. The only thing different about these than my aquarium is that these fish can't die. If I could just keep these as fish, I really think I would would! So.. Human Enrichment, too!For first time use, I placed the fish in a large rectangular bowl of water on the counter. My younger boy watched me watching the fish as though saying, "you know those are fake, right?". But yeh, I at least saw him watching the fish from a few feet away. Whereas my elderly girl came up to the bowl and watched. She sniffed a little. I am happy that she wanted to check them out. I think I will get a bigger bowl and see if I can pique their interest again (and maybe more so).If you have curious cats, cats that could use a little stimulation (even if just to watch) cats that don't mind getting their paws wet if they decide to bat at the fish.. I think it would be worthwhile to pick up a set of fish and find out how they like it. I don't think they need long sessions- just a few minutes. And again, even if only watching, that is stimulating their brain!----------------Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: How can I maximize the battery life?A: Batteries will last longer if you take the toy out of water after 3-5 minutes of use. Installed batteries will last about 20-30 minutes if used continuously. We recommend to place 2 fish in the water, let your cat play first and switch it with other 2 fish after 3-5 minutes, to maximize the battery life.Q: What kind of battery is used? What is included?A: AG13 or LR44 battery. The Robot Fish already some with 8 LR44 batteries INSTALLED and another 8 EXTRA batteries for replacement. Battery installation tool is also included. *Bowl is not included.*Q: Where is the on/off switch?A: Robot fish is water activated. There is no on/off switch. Fish will automatically start when it is placed in the water, and stop moving when out of water. If the fish doesn't stop, please wipe it with a dry cloth.

Fun for the whole family
We’ve all taken turns watching these fish. The 5 cats and 2 humans. They’re fun to watch and decently unpredictable. My cats (and I) only watch them though. They don’t bat the fish out or anything, so I have no opinions there. It’s essentially the same as buying them real fish in an enclosed tank. There are 4 total fish, with 2 watch batteries in them, with extras for all of them. The batteries that came with them (all) died pretty quickly, but they were free batteries so that didn’t affect my overall rating. I have not tested freshly bought batteries yet.The removal of one star is due to that one fish stopped working already. I haven’t figured out why, but with how much everyone has loved them, it’s worth it even with a short shelf life. I’ve yet to reach out to the company about the one fish dying on me, but their response doesn’t change the fact that one died.I got a clear plastic tote to put them in. When they stop moving, just take them out of the water for awhile and it’ll wake them back up. I generally rotate them.

fun but minimal battery life
the good they are cute, the cats like watching them/ playing with them.the bad the battery life is less than 10 minutes, the first one died and put new batteries in it and it didnt work again, the second one now will not shut off till the batteries die, the housing for the batteries isnt water tight, the third and fourth ones still work correctly.NOT WORTH THE MONEY max 40 minute play time/ battery life between the 4 fish, each fish takes 2 button batteries, the set of 4 includes 16 batteries and a screw driver.

2 cats and 1 dog love these light up fish
The media could not be loaded. I loved the fact that all my animals are entertained by these fish. So much so that I want to get a fish tank that they can't torture them with. If I can't can't anything then I'll just put some of these in it or something similar.I don't know for sure but I think that something may have leaked through the water because my dog got sick. My cats were fine so my dog probably ate something outside but just make sure you wash the bowl thoroughly. I haven't had an issue. At first I disliked the battery life but found out that if you take the fish out of the water and let them dry, their ready for round 2 without having to replace batteries.I bought this product to keep my cats interested for longer than 5 seconds and both seemed to like these things. Even my dog was entertained but my cats reaction maybe scared him off lol.

Very thoughtfully designed
These are the cutest stinkin toys, I can’t stop admiring them myself! The packaging is clean and beautiful, complete with extra batteries and a small screw driver. The fish floats just below the surface of the water with the rubber tail sticking out just enough for the kitties to actually fish it out- which they love! The tail changes speed/tempo every few seconds, allowing it to naturally swim in different directions and make ripples- truly mimicking a real fish. That gives it a realistic touch that I think keeps the cats interested, because if it just flapped around in a circle, it would be annoying. The lasers blink, and are cute too. Definitely a successful play-time. My cats are now so interested in the sink and tub haha, even when empty. The only thing I can’t judge yet is battery life. We’ve played with them for a little over an hour total now, so, so far so good!

Me gustó pero a mi gatita más
The media could not be loaded. Puede pasar horas viendolo y jugueteando. No se lo dejo por mucho tiempo por temor a que se le acabe la pila pronto. Todo bien, la colita se ve frágil por lo que solo se los dejo cuando estoy para vigilar. Pero me encantó.

Hours of fun
The media could not be loaded. Really impressed with these; they’re as much fun to watch for humans as purrballs. The batteries provided have a short life, though they provide a spare set AND a mini screwdriver!! Having since replaced the batteries with a brand name version, they are still going strong and we have had fish fun every evening since Christmas

Love them! Kitty does too.
I wasn’t sure after reading some of the reviews but these fish are great! They came with an extra set of batteries and the ones in them lasted a lot longer than I expected. Sometimes it seems like the battery is dead but I’ll put them away for a day or two and then the next time I pull them out they will start going again. My cat loves them!
