Boston Harbor TL-TREE-134-BK-3L 3-Light Adjustable Tree Lamp, 60 W, A19

I was somewhat reluctant to order a tree lamp via online due to the long pole. I figured the pole (pieces) may not go together properly or be unsightly where the sections join. That was not the case. The pole sections are threaded well and when they screw together, you do not see/notice the seams at all. The base is weighted very well to help prevent tip over. The lights are easily adjustable and we especially like the cone on/off switches. They are much better than the small little plastic switches that you normally see in the cheaper versions. Although it may cost a bit more than some others, you will not be disappointed regarding quality. It was packaged very nicely, goes together very easily and is well built. In the star ratings, they had a section for "remote control"? I'm not sure why, since this light does not come with a remote control. Therefore, I rated that section as one star but my overall rating is definitely 5 STARS!

This review is for Boston Harbor TL-TREE-134-BK-3L 3-Light Adjustable Tree Lamp.I remembered tree style lamps since I was a kid 55 years ago. Always like the idea that you could operate 3 separate fixtures with their own separate switches, and be able to aim them in almost any direction. The originals I remember were spring loaded and were supported from floor to ceiling.The Boston Harbor tree lamp is a little different design as it is supported by a round heavy stand. I got mine through the Amazon Warehouse. The box was slightly damaged and the lamp has a minor little scratch that is barely noticeable. But it was a few $$$ cheaper and it was brand new.I have read how so many people are having a hard time putting this lamp together. Yes there is minor assembly, but it is easily done with just your bare hands. I had mine together in minutes. Just follow the instructions and take your time. It will go together a lot easier.The owners manual says to use bulbs up to 60 watts. But they are talking about incandescent bulbs that produce a lot of heat. But if you use CFL or LED lights, they do not draw very much power, so you can use higher brightness CFL or LED bulbs in this lamp. For example.... A 150-200 watt LED bulb only draws 24 watts. So you could use this bulb in this lamp as the 24 watts is way below the 60 watt safety limit. I am using two 150-200 watt LED bulbs in my lamp. I also use an LED approved handheld dimmer control.This Boston Harbor lamp is very stylish without going overboard. A macho bachelor would appreciate the style of this lamp. LOL. Very basic design with all black color. The little stems that hold the 3 fixtures to the main lamp pole are chrome plated, which I think adds a nice touch. Each fixture is able to be aimed in almost every direction. A full circle from straight up, around and back to straight up. Also leans outwards a little. With my 2 bright white LED bulbs, I keep mine aimed at the ceiling which is white and reflects the light everywhere brightly.I really like this lamp and may by another soon. You won't be disappointed.

Just arrived today. Lamp is heavy (like it's well built) - not too heavy - the way a good lamp should be. I like the way each light can swivel, I can turn them up (upside down) and have indirect lighting which was really nice! It was very easy to put together...just screw the sections together, it's easy to figure out, no directions needed.The "switches" on each light I am not sure about yet. They seem to be too loose - wobbly. When I turn them, there are some extra "clicks" which doesn't sound right, but it's working so I'll see how long it lasts.There is NO switch to operate ALL AT ONCE, so you will have to either plug it in/out each time OR turn on each light separately. Not a big deal to me at all, but if you're a little more picky about what you want....thought you might want to know.What I did NOT LIKE: The packaging was horrible! I really thought I was going to have to return a broken lamp! Part of the lamp was literally bulging the bottom of the box out. When I opened it, it was one of the lights - and of course, the switch is what has been bumped around all the way to its destination! Also, the 3 globes were nestled inside one another with NO paper so the finish is somewhat marred on 2 of them.This review is for the product itself so I am giving it 4 stars - had the switches been sturdy - it would definitely receive a 5 star.Had this been a rating for the packaging, it would have been a 1 star.I would definitely order another one - but I would ask if they could please package it better!
