Easy to use, beautiful colors
My granddaughter loves it, super easy to apply for a 10 year old. The colors are vibrant and wash out easily. My only complaint, if I had to say, would be that if they touch their hair often, it comes off on their hands. My granddaughter habitually pushes her hair behind her ears, and after a short time she ends up with colored fingers.I'd recommend it mostly if you plan to tie the hair up, rather than leave it loose.

This chalk shows up very well on dark hair
This hair chalk showed up very well on my hair, and was much easier to apply then the stick-style hair chalk.I recommend doing your hair in the desired style first and then select the strands to chalk up. Once you get the color in-hairspray it immediately. I found it best to spray each chunk of hair I colored as I went. So you can slip a piece of paper under it before you spray so you don't get tons of hairspray on all the other that is not colored yet. Then do not comb or brush your hair, if you do the color will come right out. For what it is, it worked very well to highlight blue and green streaks in my hair.

Cute!
I bought this to "test" the placement of highlights before I did it with the permanent dye. They are super cute! The little pod design is good, but would be nice if the chalk was closer to the edge so you can get all the way down to the root. It does get EVERYWHERE if you don't finish it with hairspray, but hey, it's chalk. They were very vibrant the first day, and started to disperse a bit through my hair the second day. There was a very faint bit left in my (blonde) hair after I washed, but not enough that anyone but me would probably even notice.

Hard to open and use
I really like the colors and the packaging to keep them separated. However, the packaging is very hard to open, almost impossible, actually. Once you finally get it open and lay your hair across the colored chalk, you pinch the package closed and compress your fingers to deposit color onto your hair as you slide it down to the ends of your hair. You have to pull your hair so hard that it may actually cause damage to your hair. I just didn’t like the application or packaging of this hair chalk.

Horrible product, and shipping from seller "Gravity-US" not worth the wait and shipping.
Seller Gravity-US is in China and it will take forever to ship out from the date you order it. I ordered this on Nov 4th 2013 and it did not ship out till Dec 23rd 2013. I finally received it 1/13/2014. I paid $4.13 in shipping and handling and I get a package that came in beat up and wrapped with a black plastic bag and tape. When I opened it one of the colors popped out of the plastic holder. Good thing this wasn't a gift. I would be embarrassed to give this to someone. Not sure if this is a issue with the seller or product itself, Ive seen the product at the store and it looked like it was printed at the factory. The one I got from the seller it looked like the box was copied and its a fake.

Great dog highlights
Use to add accents to my light colored dog. I don't use the recommended conditioner or hairspray, so it only lasts half the day, but looks great

Messy and hard to use
I got these to color a wig for a cosplay while (theoretically) being able to wash it out and still use it without the color. That didn't work. It ended up staining the wig. They were rather difficult to use and required a lot of pressure to properly color the hair. The chalk kept falling out of the holders and the blue one tangled the hair really badly. The chalk also got everywhere and my legs were covered after the application. Wearing it didn't fare much better, the sides of my neck were colored as well as the white choker I was wearing. I'm lucky I wasn't wearing a white shirt. I got the desired effect, but it would have been easier, cheaper, and less messy to just dye it.
