Campbell'sCondensed Chicken Gumbo Soup, 10.5 oz Can

Hard to find but worth looking for. Great taste

This is a difficult item to find in the grocery store, I was thrilled when my husband found it at Amazon. I have my mother in laws recipe for Sloppy Joes using this soup and it is so good. If someone has a sensitive stomach to spicy things, or ketchup, etc. Chicken Gumbo soup is the answer.

I got this soup for my mother whom I refer to as Mikey (certain ages know the name reference lol) being that she is so picky about what she likes to eat. I was pleasantly surprised that she keeps asking for this soup. I use about 3/4 cup of water and add onion and garlic powder and a squeeze of tomato paste. Her only complaint was not enough rice so you can easily add a couple tablespoons of rice and water to the pot prior to adding soup let it cook a bit then add soup. I had some extra chicken I also threw in. You can either use this soup as a base and go wild or just heat it up for a quick meal. Just happy Mikey likes it. 😉

I love the flavor of gumbo soup but I don't eat pork, Every other gumbo has pork in it.Maybe that makes it less aucheck, but I love the taste and convenience. Been eating campbell's since I was a child.

This used to be way better. I understand that it’s a tomato base with some rice, but there was no other textures in there. They’re supposed to be okra and other vegetables. The taste has also been watered down the last few years.

I don’t understand why it’s so costly or why my local stores don’t stock. Bring Gluten Intolerant I’ve no choice but I do not make as many recipes as I’d like. Too pricey!
