My boy is 9 and I got a size 12 as comments suggested. Size 12 fit perfect on him. It’s very soft and silky. Dries fast and very comfortable. Probably one of the best swim shirts for boys

Sleeves are a little long but nice for the extra coverage and not a problem for my toddler.
