took a very long time to arrive but overall happy with the book

I am a graduate student who switched fields and realized I needed to do some background reading to shore up gaps in my knowledge. This book is a good independent read to get you started and familiar with the field. As a follow up, more advanced supplementary I also recommend Alessando Duranti's Linguistic Anthropology.

My book was missing the beginning of the book up to page 9.

The format of the ebook version is not the same as the actual book. It takes about 6 ebook pages to cover 1 full page of the actual book. The full ebook had about 14,000 pages so it makes it hard to find the page you want.
