HPF Cholestene Dietary Supplement , 120 capsules

April 4, 2017, my cholesterol tested at 279. I got this off Amazon and took 2 per day, and July 27th, my cholesterol retest was 184. The doctor said it's quite a huge drop in 3 months. I say, "Get it; get it now!!!" I was not on any drugs for cholesterol, nor have I ever been. At all costs, I wanted to avoid statins. My doctor actually said that red yeast rice is one of the primary ingredients in statins. So why do the drugs if you can do Cholestene?My cholesterol today is lower than as far back as 2008.

I have been struggling with high LDL for years. Was taking another brand of RYR for a couple years and it didn't budge (pretty steady around 150-160. I made lifestyle changes (diet and exercise) and saw hardly any improvement. Since I have read that RYR supplements can vary widely from brand to brand in terms of amount of the effective ingredient that is actually in the product, on a hunch I switched brands to the HPF Cholestene product. My most recent test LDL was at 123, or 33 points lower than 4 months ago. I also made further modifications to my diet and exercise, but I have to think that this product played a significant role. My doctor has recommended that I stick with both the RYR and the lifestyle improvements. Note that I am only taking 2 capsules once per day on her recommendation, compared to the package that says 2 capsules 2x per day. I rarely write reviews, but thought I would share my non-scientific but promising results.Update...as of Dec 2018 (a year since I started this product) LDL is now at 112, or 44 points below its peak. That is a 28% reduction. I'm still only taking 2 capsules per day which is half of the directed amount on the package. Consumer Labs says 2 pills is 6.44 mg of Lovastatin, which is well below even the lowest prescription for Lovastatin (10 mg I believe). Very highly recommend this product...even if you have tried other RYR without improvement as I had, this one is the real deal and is strong enough to actually work, while still being lower than prescription and I've had zero side effects.

Excellent results in just 4 months! My wife could not tolerate statins or other types of Red Yeast Rice. Her PCP (a DO and previously a nutritionist) suggested she try Cholestene (2 capsules daily at dinner). In September of 2015 my Cholesterol total was 242 H with my HDL 59, Triglycerides 109 and LDL at 161. I was given a prescription for cholesterol meds but refused to fill it and did my research and came across HPF Cholestene. In May 2016, my total cholesterol was 169, with HDL 52, Triglycerides 61 and LDL 105. I took this WITH an Omega 3 vitamin twice a day as recommended and I was speechless when I got my blood work. I posted this information because someone else had provided their numbers in the review they submitted which really helped me in determining what I should use. I am not a doctor...just a regular person who had high cholesterol and now I don't and it is all thanks to this supplement. The proof is in the numbers and I could not be more happy (and frankly a little shock) that this worked so well. There is a reason why this is rated so high. Don't take my word for it...just try it!! I really could not be more grateful for these reviews and I decided to pay it forward by being honest and telling people what my experience was. Again... I took this WITH an Omega 3 as I was told it would work better. There is no bad after taste, difficulty swallowing or any of that. You will not regret getting this ----- your heart will thank you!!

My cholesterol was over 200. My pcp was always telling me that it was to high but I would never take medicine. I knew that Red Yeast Rice was good for high cholesterol. I went on Amazon and found HPF Cholestene. I read the label and was amazed at what I read so I called the company and asked if this product really worked. I was told “ get blood work done before taking the product and 30 days taking the product and call back. When I was told that, I knew I had a winner. This is all I take and when returning to my doctor he was so surprised that my cholesterol was almost at the normal level. He even asked me what did I do to reduce it. I told him what I was talking but he wanted to see it. I showed him on the Amazon site and now his office staff is going to start to use this product.
