Nice small bells with clear tinkly sound. I put all three on my driveway gate so whenever it opened or closed a clear but unobtrusive sound is heard by "the ear that knows what it is" even from inside the house (window open). I even heard them ringing when my wife opened the gate, tiny but distinctive enough, from a couple of hundred feet down the road. There is one "but" though...After several week outside on my gate I noticed they are starting to discolor which is being caused by rust descending from an exposed section near the top. The bells are not solid brass but rather iron, perhaps plated with brass, but iron, nevertheless. If you are looking for brass do not be bamboozled!
