Martin Torino Gigante Artist Easel, Aluminum/Black

I bought this to replace a broken portable one. It had to be light but sturdy. I am not sure what the complaint was about putting this together. I had no trouble. I did have another easel that was similar that I could look at to get an idea what to do and that helped. This one is light weight, easy to use, quite stable (a bit of wiggle but not much), and fits a large canvas. I was working on a vertical 36" by 24" painting and it worked fine for that. If I needed another one I'd get this one.

Martin torino easel is of great lasting quality, much better than cheap knock offs. Excellent versatile design and perfect as a lightweight but sturdy easel that can hold large artwork. I got an amazon warehouse one and I contacted the company to get a replacement part and they promptly sent it to me! The manufacturer really stands behind their product! I am so pleased with this purchase and recommend this product. Please get a martin universal design easel, you will be so happy!

I bought this for my husband, who is an artist. He loves it.He paints on large canvases and this is very sturdy and well-built. Also, it was relatively easy to put together. One slight issue is that the directions were not well-written at all and we just figured out how to do it by looking at it and some experimentation.However, the two "arms" that are supposed to extend so you can rest a pallate on them were useless. They need to be shorter in order to connect properly to the stand and be usable. Either they need to be cut/shortened, or not used at all. And, as afore-mentioned, the directions were useless. Sigh.Overall, great stand - except for the pallate holder. But that's not really necessary, so it's still a good stand.Lastly, you really can't beat the price - which is about half of any other decent easel out there.

This is easy to put together. Adjusts nicely and wide range of placements. Easy to collapse for storage. Tray is nice sized and handy. Great find! Packaged nice for shipment and taped up to help prevent damage. Very happy with customer service and product

Product damaged both times after it was delivered......

This is a wonderful and cost effective tool for any artist who dislikes painting in strange positions or relying too much on your body. It is easy to use and I hadn't had a problem with it yet. It even withstood several bumps from a big cat - without altering my painting process. A good buy!

This was a Christmas gift for my daughter which she just assembled. Although very well made, product came missing one knob, which precludes it from being totally put together. Too much trouble to send back, so I will attempt to contact seller to get the needed part.

I purchased one of the 'used/open box/damaged' ones for a lesser price and, knowing I might get something that's beaten up, I am so glad that I got this easel. Some of the metal was bent and warped, but this easel is lightweight, folded up real easy, and was maybe a bit of a trick to put together without any instructions (the box was a mess, but I knew it was probably going to happen), but it is amazing.I've only had fixed height easels in the past and, as a short person, having one where I can put the canvases at a lower height is a GODSEND. I no longer need a stepladder to reach the top of big easels!

The assembly instructions were not all that good, and seem to be the kind of instructions that would typically come with a Chinese manufactured product, but I managed to put the easel together once I spent a few minutes of trial and error. It is truly an amazing unit. You can fold it up or assemble it in literally under 10 seconds. I personally store it in my closet, and it takes up almost no space at all, which is very useful due to a lack of space at my house. It feels very sturdy and is light. It is very adjustable, and is great for people of pretty much any height.My only critique is that I think the palette holder is kind of useless, but that’s not a big deal because I probably wouldn’t use it anyway. Overall, I would definitely recommend this to pretty much anyone.

This is a very sturdy stand and fairly easy to setup. I haven't figured out the installation of the extra size piece yet though. But the eastel is truly solid and folds down to one long piece. I wish it was more compact but I seriously looked for a sturdy eastel that was easy to setup and take down. I would love to have a bag for the stand. At the moment it looks like I would have to have one made up. It was definitely a great purchase.
