Classic "old school" rock!
A classic. I listened to every Bryan Adams CD back in the '80s and loved him, and downloading this album reminded why - he's just a great straight-ahead rocker that's got great sensibilities and a gift for telling a story with a great melody and lyric that everyone can sing to. My daughter calls this music (and ME!!!) "old school", as if that's a bad thing. I always remind her that there has never been a better time to listen to music than the '70s and '80s, and that that music - MY music - is far far superior to that which is being produced today. Great songs, great melodies, great lyrics, music you can actually sing to (versus rhyme to some beat...) There's a reason why the kids - and so-called "artists" today - are all using "samples" of these great tunes from the '70s and '80s as the basis of their hip hop and rap songs. Using this music provides a solid and credible foundation for whatever the current "artists" are laying down, and what's really telling to me, is that young people today STILL love to listen to this music and are downloading it like crazy! Proof positive, this music IS "Classic" and will never go out of style. I still get a grin on my face listening to Bryan Adams songs after almost 40 years... So great to hear all of these great tunes again.

This one is better than his previous offerings but not quite on par with Reckless. Speaking of Reckless there is a deluxe version which offers an additional seven tracks recorded for Reckless and la concert cd. Of note two songs feature on this album written by Adams / Vallance , one being Teacher Teacher recorded by 38 special and Reckless which became Dangerous with different lyrics for Loverboy. There are plenty of good rockin' tunes here that you will enjoy.

Love it. I had the cassette tape and now finally have the cd. Love the cd, songs, and sounds, and its very clear. The only caveat is that the cover looks like someone copied it in an old copy machine. The original photo had a green/blue background and this one is a bit muddied. Exceptional cd and one of his breakout albums. The album has my all time favorite song that he never sings in concert is "The Best Is Yet To Come". A gem of a song, but it has never been offered on any other cds but this one.
