This will hold a good amount of gear and the rain cover really is waterproof (though the elastic could be better quality). Great rucksack.It will get a full trial work out on my next British Rail marathon, in prep for a full gear hike.(Not about the item), the ruck was folded into a box, leaving a permanent bend to the firm inner backing. Not super pleased, but at least the bend is convex to my back, so it's unlikely to rub when hiking with a full pack. But the permanent bend could have been avoided if the ruck had been shipped lying flat in a shallow box or even a plastic shipping bag. That said, Amazon packers are all named Pheidippides.Edit: Survived the British Rail Marathon intact; straps comfortable and pockets roomy, zippers withstood repeated use and slight pressure from contents. NB no heavy gear used in this experiment, just a 2-day outing with clothes and the usual kit.

This item arrived safe and well packaged.First impressions of the rucksack are that it was much bigger than anticipated! I guess it's hard to imagine what 40 litres looks like. But then that's just more for your money, so great!There are lots of straps and webbing, it really is set up for everything. The main shoulder straps have some waist/hips pads at the bottom. These make the rucksack incredibly comfortable to wear. They also offer space for a sneaky little zipped up pocket. These pads then turn into waist straps. Towards the top is another strap for the chest. The clip on this strap doubles as an emergency whistle too!Underneath the rucksack is another little zipped pocket... this is where the waterproof cover (which is included) hides whilst not in use. On the top shoulder is a little access hole for a water bladder.There are 3 main storage compartments, all with zip access, made from waterproof nylon. The rear section has 2 clips built into the top, handy for clipping items (like a torch) that you want to find instantly, and has a partition to help with sectioning your items.The middle storage compartment is also sectioned, with a mesh net panel.The front compartment is the smallest of the 3 but the most convenient to access.To keep all of your stuff neatly packed into the smallest possible space, there are additional straps around the rucksack. These can tighten everything up, perfect for travelling!The elasticated rope on the front is perfect for holding those larger items without taking up any interior space - this expands the capacity by at least 50%! There are also 2x mesh pockets, 1 on either side, perfect size for a bottle!This rucksack fulfills my needs and more! If you're looking for something extremely versatile, this could be the ruck sack for you.I highly recommend this product!

When this first arrived it looked like a good rucksack. Decent size and comfortable straps. However, my son has used it for 1 week on a school trip and the main seams have completely ripped apart on both sides. 1 of the zips is also broken. Shocked at the state it’s come home in.

I like that although it's 40ltre one can make it small using various straps when you don't need the full capacity. It has many features eg stick loops, waterproof cover; the pocket on the waist strap is small but useful, Some bits aren't perfect ( pocketing inside front compartments) but I've been looking arouond for ages and was really pleased with it.

**Updated**After leaving my review, the company reached out to me and offered an apology and a full refund. They assured me that this was an isolated case.At first glance, the bag seemed like a good buy. Plenty of space and room. I bought the bag as I needed something larger for an upcoming hike. I took the bag for a short hike to the Yorkshire Dales and within a few hours of use, the stitching on several of the seems has come away. The zips on the bag also feel flimsy, particularly when the bag is full. Quite frankly, I have opted to buy another bag elsewhere as I have no confidence that this won't fall apart on a longer hike. Sadly, I can't see an option to return the item so I'll have to make do. It has made me lose confidence in purchasing goods from Amazon or online at all. Sometimes its better to see it before you buy it.

Great rucksack with lots of handy pockets, I was very pleased with the waterproof cover which comes with the rucksack, it keeps all the rain out also liked the straps as they have padding where its needed on the shoulders.

I bought that for a scout day hike. It was perfect! Comfortable and lots of storage space. The waterproof cover was really useful and kept my bag nice and dry on a very rainy day.

This bag is great if you are cycling and need to carry spare clothing as well as work bits. It has ripped inside already but apart from that it’s good

Buscábamos una mochila para nuestra hija y tras ver muchas opciones y leer muchas opiniones nos decidimos por esta. En principio no la necesitamos para un uso demasiado intensivo, más bien ocasional. Mucho más barata que las de marca. De momento decir que sirve para subir al avión como equipaje de cabina (cumple las medidas), que es cómoda de llevar y que tiene un montón de bolsillos, compartimientos, accesorios para atar saco, ropa de abrigo, esterillas por la parte de fuera, dos compartimientos donde cabe incluso una botella grande. Dado que no le hemos dado de momento demasiado uso no podemos opinar sobre su durabilidad y resistencia, pero por el precio pagado parece una buena compra.

The bag is universal for hiking, camping, tracking or even for sport. Multifunctional and there are lots of pockets available in this bag. Rainforced. Super.

Me voy de viaje un mes y no quería llevar maleta con ruedas.Me he decantado por ésta y la verdad me viene de maravilla. Bastante equipada, con muchos compartimentos y amplia. Me gusta que traiga la tela impermeable. La tela se ve que es de buena calidad y los enganches correctos.
