ASK2002W Ceiling Heater 2kW 240V

Nice heater - installed a week ago and works well. Installation issues to note:1. I installed the heater in my master bathroom ceiling. The master bath in on the second floor and has blown-in installation in the attic above. The combination roof and ceiling trusses are on 24" centers. The ASK2002W has brackets that accomodate installation up to 16" centers. If you have 24" OC trusses or joists will need to make your own installation bracket. I used a 2 x 4 box that fit between the trusses.2. The instructions show the heater attached to wood. Concerned, I called customer service in Canada, to inquire about adjacent materials' fire resistance requirements. I was told that all surrounding material should be suitable for 194 degrees Fahrenheit. I'm not sure what the rating is for wood but the representative was emphatic about 194 degrees Fahrenheit for all surrounding material. I installed 1/4" cement Hardibacker inside the 2 x 4 brackets and also above the heater.3. Make sure to right-size the hole in the ceiling as the heater's cover is unforgiving of a hole too large (particularly the corners).

Great heater

I received this heater in April and installed it immediately. Have been unable to get it working because it requires a 60 minute timer, that has been very difficult to locate the right kind. I've bought 2 already, both of them are the wrong kind. I still haven't been able to locate the model # suggested for it from the installation guide. I've checked locally, I've Googled for it, and have called nationwide electric supply companies, to no avail. I thought I was going to get the right one, but when it arrived, it was the wrong model number received. Still searching and praying that it hasn't been discontinued, making the heater USELESS.

Very powerful and the unit gets my bathroom warm up real quick.

Great ceiling heater...In total it took less them 2 hrs to install, between cutting a hole in the ceiling, going into the attack to mount the can to the ceiling joist and then squared the can with two mounting brackets that attached to the other ceiling joist..Please note this did not include the time it took to run the electrical wire from the panel to the heater, buy with confidence

No. Because i received 120volts and i need 240 volts so i cannot use it . i am upset...and i return it.I lost 150€ transport and taxes . But i want another one, what to do for not repaying all the fees again.Do you have any sugestion?Daniel

Very happy with the ceiling heater, I knew I wanted heat my bathroom but I did not know where to start. I spoke with the owner who was very pleasant and took time to answer questions. I would absolutely order again and recommend this site and the SK2002 ceiling heater to others.
