Good value combination microwave
Great price and quality item. Even the internal design is pleasing to the eye! Not 100% impressed however with the silver hollow handle and four buttons seems like really really cheap plastic and feel a bit flimsy. Might take handle off and spray it black but might end up ruining it! Orange led display will also take some getting used to but that's just personal taste. Microwave is well proportioned not too big, not too small and does it's intended job with ease. Simple straight forward to use and no degree required to set up the clock unlike other microwaves I've owned! Couple of clicks and a swirl or two and you're sorted so don't be scared to unplug it! Would have liked more accessories considering it is an oven and a grill too. My old one came with three shelves this one just has the one rack and its low so not exactly perfect for grilling. I'll look out my other ones and see if fit okay, thats if they aren't at the tip with the old microwave! Suppose at £75 you can't expect too much but would have been a nice touch and saved me hunting down my own! Over all seems a good piece of kit for the price - if you overlook the handle. I would recommend it at the sale price but would have probably sent it back had I paid full price and chosen an alternative with push button door perhaps.

Excellent all round performance
Excellent all round performance...simplicity to operate and you can actually 'COOK' in it! It has made my conventional oven redundant! Replaces a similar product that was a nightmare mishmash of buttons and programmes. Exceptional value for money! Ignore criticism of hieroglyphics being small you will soon get to know what they do .....as with everything NEW! A word of warning for those who are planning to wall mount this product...it is not suitable for dedicated appliance brackets as the back legs are offset so had to use a shelf instead......minor prob...still luv it....

Not great.
This microwave was both good and bad. On the good side there was the excellent microwave and convection oven cooking. I've never had any trouble and it worked perfectly well for that. That's good as it was the main reason i bought it. However, there's plenty of rubbish stuff so I wouldn't recommend it. Firstly, all the markings (with the bizarre exception of the cancel button) are black on a black background so you can't read them without putting your face right up against it to see what you're pressing. Of course, that's still no guarantee as the icons are pretty nonsensical. I had to keep the manual next to it for reference until i memorised the buttons by position. It also has an annoying feature where it beeps every minute when it's done. The microwave defrosting is a bit hit and miss. It's good for meat but it's a bit severe so defrosting fish is impossible without cooking the edges. The time selection wheel would alternate between sticky and loose so sometimes it wouldn't change when you turned it or it changed by a varying amount with a steady turn. The LCD would occasionally flicker during usage so all the icons would light up from time to time. You may notice a fair amount of past tense in this review as it's just died. I think less than two years lifetime is pretty poor given that my last microwave, a Panasonic, lasted ten years. I was happy enough to put up with the annoying features since it cooked well but I can't recommend this product when the lifespan is so short as well.

Totally exceeded expectations! Then it died! :-(
My original review:A recent change in personal circumstances found me living in rented accommodation with only a 2-ring hob and a microwave to cook with. A combi was the obvious answer but with limited funds available I was looking for value. Favourable reviews and a reasonable price tag led me to plump for this one - and I am soooo pleased I did. All functions work well and I'm particularly impressed with the convection oven, which has so far cooked everything I've thrown at it to perfection - far better than I ever expected. I love it!Edit:After 11 months of daily use the convection oven stopped heating. It would appear from other reviews that I'm not the only one experiencing this kind of problem after this relatively short time. Which is a shame - up to now it has been brilliant. So I've revised my star rating down from 5 to 3. Yes, it's still probably under warranty but I can't be without an oven or a microwave while it's being fixed, so I've had to bite the bullet and buy a new one (different make and model!).

Not nearly as good as expected
I bought this microwave as I had a previous versión of this model (KOC 984T) which lasted for ten years with only a couple of minor problems. This new model does not live up to the same expectations. This model is lighter and more " flimsy and does not have as good controls. The symbols are miniscule and almost imposible to see: the grill takes so long to toast a peice of bread mainly because the rack is way too low . The previous model had a metal plate interior which was so much better than the glass plate of this model. I also like to use the combination option but so far have failed to find how to alter the micro. power level although the convection level can be changed. This means that a baked jacket potato cannot be cooked in much less time tan in an ordinary oven. The instruction booklet is totally inadequate and should contain more explicit sample récipes for ALL the options not just the microwave. For some unknown reason it is also quite noisy as if something is loose in the interior.Good points are : the normal micro, convection and auto-cook options seem to work well.but as I bought it for the extra features I expected , I am really dissappointed with this oven. Daewoo need to improve the design a great deal more and not sacrifice quality for "progress"??
