Cover those holes!
This patch kit is awesome, I had a fairly large hole opened in the wall to identify where a leak was, and was worried about what the wall would look like patched. This went on easy, with the adhesive back, and stuck to where I placed it. It took the compound well, with no holes the first time, and looked smooth and no bulges. Sanded it and then did another coat, and once it was painted you can't tell where the patch is, and it even pressing against that part of the wall doesn't feel any different than the rest of the wall. This is a great product, and is holding up well.

Great Job, Easy to Do
This worked great for fixing a rather large hole that my soon to be teenager put in our drywall. It was super easy to apply....and then I just followed directions, by applying two layers of spackle and sanding. I haven't painted it yet, but it looks great and is sturdy due to the wire mesh. Sadly with three boys, I should probably buy these in bulk.

For those of you too lazy or intimidated to actually do drywall work.
Works as expected. You simply cut this to the size needed, put it over the hole, rub some kind of fast drying fake drywall mud on it, sand it, paint it, and hope your dog doesn't eat the wall again. These (not this brand, the technology in general) are kind of lame because even if you put this on like a champ and sanded it like a pro and painted over it like it is your job, you will always be able to see where it was patched. But if it's going to be behind some furniture or you simply don't want to bother with cutting up drywall, finding studs to attach the drywall to, taping the edges, putting mud over , and yadda, yadda, yadda, this is for you.

sturdy, but did not stick very well to ceiling. luckily, the spackle worked nicely as a glue.

This is an amazing product. Granted for people with experience it might be an "old news", but for the first time user it was a revolutionary discovery. I used it on the wall holes left behind my stove, sink, cabinets by "wonderful " construction people. Which cased my apartment to have mice infestation, so disgusting! But this product helped me to cover those holes. It's VERY EASY to use and VERY recommended

Not the best quality. This is something you should buy in person... not from Amazon
It's super important for the wire mesh to be perfectly flat, but this one didn't really ship that way. The portion of the mesh with the adhesive backing was slightly protruding compared to the center of the mesh. I tried to flatten it a bit with heavy books, but ultimately it just didn't really get flat enough.I bought two of these, one went on perfectly... the other has a noticeable bump along the edge after I spackled, sanded, and painted. As other reviewers pointed out... make sure you're ready to spackle the moment you stick this on the wall. Even if you prep the pre-repair surface with some isopropyl to clean the paint, the adhesive barely sticks.

Worked great for a gaping hole in wall
We had a big hole after removing a room air conditioner unit that vented through the wall & into a crawlspace, and were worried this wouldn't be strong enough for a hole that was just under the 8"x8" size of this patch. Was worried I'd need a more substantial kit that brackets behind the hole, but turns out that wasn't at all necessary.Just used regular pink spackle (that turns white when all dry), sanded, & then repeated before painting. Wouldn't even notice it unless you already know it's there and are looking.

Self-Adhesive didn't stick!
I had nothing but trouble with this product. I opened the package, removed the backing and as soon as I did that I hooked my finger on a metal piece that was sticking out of the netting. So first I had to tend to the blood everywhere from the sharp puncture. Then I tried to stick the patch onto the ceiling which had been prepared and cleared of dust. It didn't even stick for a second. The weight of the metal patch brought it down even when I held it up and applied the compound. What a waste of money!

I used this for an art project.
I used this for an art project. It gave the exact texture I was looking for. As far as using it for drywall patching, I am sure it would work just fine. It's not very much though, just 6"x6".
