Great Time/back Saver
The media could not be loaded. This thing is great. Wasn’t sure what to expect. I used it to dig out, by hand, an 8x10x4 foot space in my basement. Solid, heavy, dirt. It worked flawlessly, made the job sooo much easier, and held up no problem. I also used it to punch out the cement wall, again, very easy. I only used a 6 gallon pancake compressor. Had to stop and clear dirt, which gave it enough time to refill. I have about 10 hours on it. I would buy it again, even if it died tomorrow, but I don’t believe it will. Seems very sturdy and heavy duty.

It works
It works, really kicks up the dirt. Bounces off rocks, will break thin ones with some work. Saved a bunch of time digging a number of holes.

Wish I had bought this 20 years ago.
This works way better than I expected, to dig a trench or tree well at my house is usually a 2 week process. Dig a scar with a digging bar, fill it up with water , wait until the next day, and repeat. For two week this goes on until I have a hole or trench that's not very big because the ground is that hard. This made it much less painful, I still had to add water but at least this is no longer a two week process, Tool seems really well made and doesn't require a huge volume of air to work. HAPPY with purchase.

Great product
Lifesaver, this is a great product for where we live. We have very rocky soil and we were building a deck and could not use a shovel, this made easy work to dig holes for our 6x6 post. We also used it to plant a tree in our backyard. Would highly recommend to anyone who has hard pan or rocky soil.

Poor quality - leaking air.
The media could not be loaded. It’s arrived yesterday I checked the review and said let’s give it a try. I heard leaking air when I start use it , I checked all the connections, hose and air compressor nothing . Then I found the leak from the pipe on top of the handle , I tried to tighten the screw but it doesn’t work. How a new product selling for almost $200 is that poor quality. Called the customer service and no solution. Now the box is heavy and to start the return process is painful with loading a week of work. you need to send some one to carry it and return it.

Works great so far
I used it to remove several rocks from foundation holes that I was digging for a deck cover. These were large rocks and it took to working through them better than I ever thought it would. I’ve removed 3” of concrete sidewalk with it as well and worked like a charm. Surprised the crap out of me! Just make sure you have a large capacity air compressor!

It’s ok for a small job
This is The second one I received, as the first one was dead out of the box. It’s kind of flakey and have to mess with it and hold it in the right spot to work at full capacity. It sometimes doesn’t work at all unless I pull it up and down so it gets in the right spot for the air to kick in. It’s also too heavy for my wife to use it. It’s fine for digging holes but I’m doing a pretty big project and it’sa lot of work and not going as fast as I hoped it would. If you try to dig sideways at all it doesn’t work, only straight up and down.

An AMAZING help so far.
The media could not be loaded. No other tool like it on the market. PERIOD.....For all those that pitched a fit about the tool itself. If you haven't worked with air tools in the past, this tool NOT working properly from the start, is most likely your own doing. I have spent the better part of 25 years working with all types of air tools. They REQUIRE tool oil. More than a "periodic squirt" here and there. There is no way around that. Unless of course, you are prepared for your $200+ tool to freeze up. Now with that being said, let's get into the review:From the start, the tool appeared to be seized. I saw that in another review, as well, and that review actually held me back from purchasing it sooner than I should have. The exact same issue occurred with mine. HOWEVER, I took my air tool oil, squirted into the air intake fitting until it poured back out, snapped on my air line, put some pressure on the spade, and BOOM! The tool has worked perfectly ever since. You CANNOT over oil these types of tools. It blows the excess out of the air release ports on the bottom, near the "shovel". Better to over oil, than under. I can't stress that enough. I wasted so much time without purchasing this tool based on the negative reviews. For digging out the crawl space under my house, this has been a God send. Buy the tool, if you need something like this. Follow my instructions for oiling it.Each time before you go to use it, squirt the oil into the air fitting until it comes back out.Don't worry, be happy, and may God Bless you!
