Benchmade HK Knives P30 Assist Plain Edge Knife, Black

Nice little knife , Kinda tight though ... Hoping it frees up a bit over time . For an assisted opener it's far too tight .....

Sharp like benchmade makes them, but like the reviews one of the knifes opens good the other one I got for my brother, you can't even tell there is a spring. I didnt read the description very well. The knife is the size of toenail clippers. I knew there was something wrong with a 65 dollar benchmade.

Knife is supposed to be spring assisted for easier deployment. Mine was so tight and stiff that it took an unsafe amount of pain-inducing pressure from my thumb to get it out of the handle so the spring could grab it. When applying that much pressure to open it only to have it spring open under the pressure of the spring, I cut myself a few times and nearly dropped the knife a few more times. Maybe I just got a bad one.

The assist is stiff at first, but when you lube it with a few drops of good oil and open it about a hundred times then it opens easily. I don't know if it is actually made by Benchmade, but it does have good steel and is very well made. Liked it so well that I bought another.

I was quite disappointed by the knife. The handle feels like cheap plastic and doesn't conform well to the average hand, especially in gloves.The "assisted" opening action was extremely stiff for several months even after rugged Law Enforcement use. I put "assisted" in quotes because it sure as hell didn't feel like it.The only time the opening action felt smooth was once the blade began to wiggle in the handle.......which required tightening after each shift.The blade itself is the only positive. The edge held up well and the black finish never wore away.Overall, I expected more from Benchmade and am in disbelief that HK would put their names on this blade.

I'm so happy I went with the Benchmade HK Knife P30 Assist. I have a couple other Benchmade Knives but they really aren't good as an everyday knife, the P30 is perfect. I highly recommend this knife.

Decent but not up to what I expect of "Benchmade" quality, but then the price is fair and the steel is acceptable and easy to sharpen but needs to be sharpened fairly often if actually used daily like I do.

Schönes Messer, in guter Qualität. Für meinen Geschmack hat es genau die richtige Größe und ein angenehmes Gewicht. Ist bei Lieferung sehr scharf.
