Not the best, but it works well enough
This controller may look like your average lame knock-off, but it does work good enough as a replacement. The D-pad is a bit touchy (you have to be careful when pressing up, otherwise you might go left or right without meaning to). However, at least it isn't squishy unlike my other 3rd party controller ( it came with my clone console, btw). The buttons are fairly responsive, even though they do look like they could pop out.The cord is a bit short at 4 feet, so I would suggest investing in an extension cord. Overall, this device is a passable replacement if you can't find a 1st party controller. I may buy another one since the super famicom style is so much nicer.

Steal all the good deals!
These controllers are a steal. Especially for a 2 pack. I bought mine almost a year ago, and they get regularly used to play my SNES all the time. I use them most with Super Mario World and Megaman X, which in both games, these controller perform like their first party counterparts. The biggest difference you'll find with these when compared to a first party Nintendo SNES controller, is the overall build quality, You can absolutely tell that the plastic used to make these controllers is no where near up to the same standards that Nintendo's controllers had. They aren't built badly or anything, but they feel much lighter than the official SNES controllers. They are exactly the same size as a SNES controller, and have a decent cable length. The buttons are all springy, and have excellent response times. I noticed zero latency while playing numerous titles on my SNES.Overall, if you're in the market for some replacement controllers, I'd recommend getting these ones.

Surprisingly well made, surprisingly inexpensive.
I got this controller just after I finished restoring a few of my retro consoles, and wasn't sure what to expect from a third party controller for the SNES. I was, however, pleasantly surprised by the quality, given how inexpensive it was. I've never played on an original SNES controller, but from what i've heard, the d-pad on the original was considerably stiffer. On top of that, this controller feels a tiny bit too light/sorta cheap. That said, i'm really pleased how well this controller functions, and intend to get another for some multiplayer action! (Street Fighter Alpha 2, anyone??)

Generic Is Not ALWAYS Bad!
Time will tell how long this controller holds up, but my first impressions have led me to think this is a great third-party (generic) controller. All of the buttons work fine and the cord doesn't seem cheaply made as others have described. This is a replacement for my old Ascii pad (generic) that I bought in 1995 or so, which had just recently broke at the same time as a Nintendo controller. I would still take a Nintendo controller over this, but this generic pad isn't bad, either.

Great deal for the price
After a month of light use and no abuse, one of the controllers was having trouble with directional control bleed. (when you push down on the D pad, it pushes a bit to the left or right as well) this makes it hard to do Sonic's spin dash on the Retropi

4 Stars
I recently bought a SNES Clone so I can decided to buy some retro controllers to go with my new system. This are pretty cool & I really like the design. It plays well but if ever want to play Ms Pac-Man I wouldn't recommend this control. It tends to mix up the direction you're trying to go in but overall it works great.

Good replacement for stock SNES controller
At first, the ABXY buttons felt like they had too much play, but that went away after playing for a bit; it didn't take long to adjust to the controller. My only major complaint is the cord is shorter than a stock SNES controller, but it still reaches a good distance. Overall a good, inexpensive replacement.

Good enough, would prefer longer wires.
I got two of these for my Retron 3. They're pretty close to the original. The buttons and dpad are a little looser than they maybe should be but they respond well. The only real complaint is that the wires could have been longer.

Avoid at all costs!!!
This is by far the worst 3rd party SNES controller I have ever bought. First of all it's very cheaply made, the buttons are mushy and virtually unresponsive. The buttons almost seem too small for the controller. They feel broken, extremely loose and worn out, upon my first use. The D-pad is just a mess, it's awful. Feels like I'm playing with a broken controller, right out of the box.Honestly do yourselves a favour, and just buy an original SNES controller. They may be little more expensive, but they are definitely worth it. You can find a used one, just about anywhere online, that won't break the bank. You get what you pay for.

Pretty poor build quality and button response
Pretty poor build quality and button response.Might be okay for more sedate games but don't even bother trying to play action/fighting games with this.
