Buy it second hand !
This book has been recommended to me by a colleague who owns a couple of properties and told me it was inspiring. I read it and did find some useful ideas and tips HOWEVER I do not believe the Author when he says you can buy a property with virtually no money at all. Being in the process of doing so, I can tell you you do need to have some money in the bank even with a property price below the market value.Another aspect I didn't like is that during the second part of the book it felt more like the author was promoting his seminars that you can attend in order to 'get rich', I am guessing after you pay a moderate fee ;-)Here's my tip to you completely free : do like I did and and buy the book second hand. That will save you £5 or £6

Very good, but not as good as I wanted it to be
My first book on property investment and I must admit this book has given me enough information and motivation to learn more, but it would have been nice to learn more from this book. The book has enough to give you ideas, but does not give you full details on how to follow those ideas/principals. You would have to find a lot of the information yourself through "Google" or other books. For example it tells you about NMD deals, but doesn't explain how exactly it works from start to end (paperwork for bridging etc)!More often than not I felt when it was time to tell the reader the insides of these principles, the author started promoting his online Investor's group. In fact, I often felt half of this book was promotion material for author's online investor group. I am not against the group - I will be joining the group once I have read a few more books. My problem is I would have preferred not having to read other books, and find all answers in this one book, and then join the online group. If this was not my first ever book on property investment, I am sure I would have given this book 1 less star.+ Very clear+ Easy to read+ No jargon- Not enough detail- You will find quite a few spelling and grammar mistakes

the best property investment short read out there
I've followed Simon for a while and even attended one of his courses. I decided to re-read priory magic again to see if I could glean some new info and this has really got me motivated again to get back into property development. I'll probably look at doing his Mastermind late this year. A good read for a beginner or even a seasoned investor that just wants a refresher.

Brilliant and insightful
Answers all of the questions I had about starting out in property investments. I will definitely be speaking to a property tax accountant.

Beware!!!!! If you read you may catch the property investment bug
This book by Simon Zutchi was recommended to me by a friend who currently invests in property. Beforehand I was a complete novice with no investing experience. Property Magic is cleverly wrote is an extremely simple and easy to understand manner. Everything is broke down very nicely and it gives the reader a clear understanding of the principles of property investing. I now feel motivated and confident enough to create a clear strategy in or to construct a property portfolio. In fact I am attending a PIN meeting in Birmingham on Thursday. GREAT BOOK, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
