Dull points on these pins!
Only one star as pins are so dull you can’t pierce fabric! One after the other had dull points. Waste for fabric / quilting projects.

NOT SHARP DONT BUY
Total waste of my money. What good is a pin that won't go through fabric! Now I have 3 packages of waste, because I cannot return them for they are past return date when I opened them.VERY upset with Dritz.

Curved Safety Pins for Quilting
I needed these to pin together a quilt made of blue jeans with a fleece backing (and no batting) before I quilted it. The majority of pins work just fine. A few pins made it difficult to pierce the denim, but denim is thick/heavy, so I wasn't surprised. I worked them in. I highly recommend the "Paula Jean Creations Kwik Klip Brass Tip" tool to close/open the safety pins. I had over 300 pins in my quilt, and closing/opening that many pins really hurts your fingers. I gave these pins a 4-star because a few of them really were not sharp enough to easily pierce the material, but I do recommend them. Also, the size 2 (about 1-1/2") pin was just right for my job.

Just right
I believe this size is just perfect for making a quilt sandwich. I have purchased size 1 , 2 and 3. Size one is a little too small and hurts my fingers when I try to open those size 3 although I like the size leaves too big of holes in the material so this size 2 it’s just perfect. Yes I would recommend

Worked well
These pins are fairly easy to use. It went through the sandwiched quilt with 2 layers of batting with normal ease. The curved design definitely made pinning the layers of the quilt much easier than a regular straight safety pin. Towards the end of the pinning it seemed it took more effort to push the pins through. But that could be I was getting tired pinning a full size quilt.

Did OK on first use, more to come
I've only used these one time so far, on my first quilting project. Planning to use them again soon on project #2. With additional experience, I plan to put more pins in more places, to more securely hold my work during the quilting operation. These were easy to put through both layers of fabric and my batting on my first project. I have different batting and fabric for my upcoming project, so time will tell on use #2.

Good product
I’m using these for my first quilt. They have worked a treat and I’m very happy I got three boxes! The cool thing is there is a little latch on the box and the top flips up. Since the top is attached I haven’t lost it!These work work well for their purpose.

At least half of them are so dull they can't be used
These pins are for quilting and at least half of the pins in the first box I opened were so dull I couldn't push them through the material. I was very disappointed and won't buy them again. I would rate them less than 1 if I could.
