Gigaset DL500A Cordless Phone with Answering Machine ( Bluetooth, Hands Free Functionality, Low Radiation ) [Italian Version]

Ordered this from Amazon UK, assumed that when it came it would be at least a UK suitable model. Unfortunately it was an Italian model, initially this presented 5 problems: 1, Display in Italian, 2, No UK telephone line cord, 3, No UK Power Supply 4, Default voice messages on answerphone is in Italian 5, User manual in ItalianThe first 3 were easily dealt with by swapping the display to Italian using a UK line cord from another Gigaset phone and the power supply sorted with a Shuko (EU) to UK power adapter plug, however the answerphone voice prompts proved the downfall, as it is an Italian model, there are ways to change the prompts however the only language the firmware contained in the Italian variant is Italian, if Amazon sold the Swiss variant then that offers French German and English selection, I downloaded an English manual but the fact I could not get it to provide voice prompts in English meant it was a non starter and had to be returned.After some further research the varient of this phone only sold in the UK is the DX800A all-in-one, which I have subsequently obtained and overall that phone is excellent.

It would probably be excellent however the instruction manual was all in Italian, no english, although purchased from Amazon UK so had to return item.
