Over time plastic breaks down and is easily worn down from friction. Eating organic makes no sense if you are getting small particles of plastic ground into your pepper.

I haven't had this long enough to see if it will break like most built in grinders so I couldn't give it 5 stars- yet. The pepper has a superb flavoring, pungent and fresh. It grinds big chunks so you want to reserve this for salads and other items that need a last minute decorative or flavorful punch.

We love the taste of freshly ground pepper and these organic peppercorns fit the bill perfectly. I keep several grinders around the kitchen and on the table. Lasts long enough to make it a good deal but not so long the peppercorns get stale. All my herbs are Simply Organic!!!

My only negative comment is that the pepper seems to come out slowly, but then again I like a lot of pepper...so others many think the amount is appropriate. Lots of peppercorns, so this will last quite a while :)

I love sprinkling pepper on everything, and this is really fresh, spicy. Well worth the price, its great with some tumeric and garlic powder!

Nothing better on your food then fresh ground pepper. It had the great taste I was wanting. The price was very reasonable.
