Elegant addition to the literary library
I enjoyed this book immensely. Wodehouse’s fiction, set as it is mostly in London and the country houses of England, generally bears little resemblance to ‘real life’. And yet Sophie Ratcliffe has put together a thoughtful collection of Wodehouse’s letters which superbly exemplifies how Wodehouse created a unique (and comic) universe, crammed with assorted characters, including his greatest accomplishment: Jeeves and Bertie Wooster. Through this book, and in his letters, PGW speaks in a style which is very much his own. An enjoyable read.

Surprisingly mild
This makes interesting reading - but his fiction is better! He had a strange outlook on life. Historically useful work.
