Mad Mats® Outdoor Rug, Reversible Plastic Mat for Patio, Porch, Deck, Kitchen & Bath,Persian, 4 by 6-Feet, Andaman

I've had it for a few months now. It sits on my balcony. Has suffered cat claws, flower pot spills, liquid spills and weather exposure. Still looks good.

The pattern was pretty but I didn’t like the plastic-y look of it.

I absolutely love these Mad Mats for my decks. I bought a red one from a different store about 5 years ago. It was on my back deck, which faces a pond, and stayed out from early spring to the first snow. I would just roll it up and store it inside for the winter. It started to fade just a little and I decided it was time for a change in color so I bought the aqua. The red now lives on my front deck and still looks great! My only complaint is not about the product but about Mad Mats’ description of the colors. The rug they call “Aqua” is actually dark teal and magenta. The aqua colored one pictured above is called “Plum”. ?? So order by picture, not by the color they call it or you’ll have an extra one you don’t want rolled up in your basement like I do. As for the mats- they’re beautiful, rugged, easy to clean and really stand up to daily wear and tear.

We joke that our patio gets so hot in the summer, that it's where the sun comes to get a little extra sun. Normally you can't even walk outside without shoes on because the surface is so hot. But, this vibrant rug/mat is made of tiny hollow tubes that don't seem to get too hot even in full sun. (I call it a rug/mat because it actually looks like a rug from a distance, but it's not plush at all, and really maybe doesn't meet the definition of "rug.") The materials used are recycled plastic food containers if I understand correctly, and it is not covered with the waterproofing chemicals, insect-repellant chemicals, and other nasty substances you might find on a canvas or other type of outdoor floor covering. Even in the high heat when crayons are melting to the patio table, this rug is odor-free and has high structural integrity. And, when my kiddo drops food on it and then picks it up and eats it, I feel a little better about it than with other surface coverings. At least the materials once started out as food-safe! You can vacuum this rug/mat, bleach it, or just hose it off. Ours has been out in the rain and we can just rub a beach towel over it to dry the surface. And, it's reversible in case you want to see more blue than orange. The orange color is made of the combination of red and yellow tubes, not orange tubes, so if you're sitting on the rug it looks as though it's made of primary colors. Look at an expanded view to get an idea of whether this might bother you. If you're trying to coordinate with something orange, it's a hit and a miss at the same time. All in all, this does exactly what we wanted, and it looks unusual and vibrant. We love it!

Just received my 8'x5' mat, and I will be brutally honest. The colors are beautiful, the weight is good, and the packaging was great. However, now that it is unwrapped and laying on the floor, there is a noticeable 'bow' at the short ends, so it is not entirely square, almost like a slight curve, and the rug itself seems somewhat 'warped'. I'm hoping that the warping will diminish as it lays flat since it was rolled up, but I can assure you the bowing will not. I love the weight, color and style, but I'm not 100% certain I will keep it if the warping doesn't flatten out. I think from what I can see from previous reviews, the 4'x6' size fairs better than the larger size as far as its shape. I think the design and color are spot on for my patio and I like the fact that it is easy to clean and seems to be pretty heavy duty for foot traffic. I do hope it works, but I will update my review once I see what it does...UPDATE: After 3 days, the mat wouldn't lay flat, and looked unacceptable on my patio. Sadly, I will return it. It's too bad because the colors, pattern and idea of these mats is very nice, but I can't risk having people trip on it and fall if it's warped. The sellers and Amazon were tremendous to deal with for the return, so I have nothing but praise for the return process.

Recycled plastic, soft under bear feet, and absolutely durable. They can be left outside all winter long and won't get damaged, and have two color alternatives if you flip it over. We have multiple colors/patterns for both a covered and uncovered decks and the bright colors are so fun! Will buy again.

I bought this rug for my courtyard and I LOVE IT!! It rolled out flat and has remained that way. SUPER easy to hose off, and the color has held up over the last few months. It's plastic, so it's waterproof. I love the feel of this on my bare feet. It was worth every penny!!! The colors in photo are true. **The black one is from Target, the red one is the product I'm reviewing.**

When I first ordered this product there was a mix up with delivery that was not the fault of Mad Mats. However, when I contacted the company they (Robert) expedited a re-ship which worked out perfectly. I found them to be prompt, responsive and aiming to please. I am happy with the product. It is what I expected based on pics and descriptions. The colors are vibrant, the material will last and is able to be squirted clean with your garden hose. The size was as described, and thus far, they have retained their color under the hot Texas sun, with no sign of fading. I am a happy customer.

I've had this mat outdoors for two years now and it is still in perfect condition. This mat, however, won't look good indoors.

Although the design is nice, the mat tends to curl and wave. It's not heavy enough to lie flat, although it comes with sticky squares for corners, but if you plan to lift the mat for winter, those are not going to last.

The edges are a little wavy. Time will tell if they settle down. I love the design and feel.

Bought for camping outside our airstream. Looks fabulous on both sides, is durable, light and easy to clean!
