Don't be afraid to order this, glad I did.
I always read reviews before I order things. I read the reviews on this carefully and decided the negative feedback might not apply to me. Years ago I had a rebok slide and loved it. I used it often and over the years it degraded. So 20 years later I'm looking at another Chicago winter where I need a good indoor workout to supplement my spin bike. I remembered the slide and lo and behold here's one reasonably priced on Amazon, shipped and sold by them so if it doesn't work out I can return it.First it came in one day, probably just lucky where I live. Yes it wants to curl because it's been stored in a box, so role it the other way to store it or fold it over for storage so you don't need to roll it. The bag and booties are good and the slide itself is very slick. It needs to be slick or you can't slide. Now, if you have animals, dog hair, floor dust etc., you need to be careful not to transfer this to the board with your booties or by rolling it up. Keep it clean it should stay slick.I am a 5'5" female, 59 years old and very fit. If the board were any more narrow it'd be too narrow. If it were any longer I would probably have difficulty getting myself from one side to the other. A little push off and arm movement is needed, you can lift and twist a knee and get a good ab workout. This is an excellent workout for legs, specifically inner thigh, excellent core, balance and cardio. I recall it will not work well on carpet, so some kind of hard surface is really needed. So I got 45 minutes in on it within an hour of it showing up at the house. Ice storm outside. Very pleased with the purchase, and I will update if I encounter any negative issues.UPDATE: After using this just two times it became difficult to slide. I washed the board and rinsed out the booties and was really surprised how much dust accumulated. Anyway, I have a simple solution to getting the board "like new." Take a piece of waxed paper and rub it on the slide and on the bootie bottoms. Use the bootie bottoms to move the waxed paper. Then very CAREFULLY begin sliding again, super slick. If you've been pushing hard to navigate the entire less slick board, just know the waxed paper will make it "like new" slick again and you won't need to push off as hard to get to the other side. Still very happy in Chicago with another indoor workout option. It's still stupid cold here.

great work out
Initially disappointed as was not slippery enough to make it entirely across. Then remembered reviews mentioning using wax spray. Tried bike lube spray without much improvement. Then sprayed Pledge. Got back on and wasn't working well. I had forgotten to put slide socks back on over my shoes. Then it worked great. Pledge + don't forget booties! Fabulous training for alpine skiing. Great cardio. Put on some music and go.Would have given 5 stars if it came with some wax or spray lubricant.

A great little workout while watching TV
I love having this at home. It's positioned behind one of the loveseats in the theater room; that way I can watch TV while spending 20-30 minutes on my slide board. There is a learning curve to it, but if you are patient and give it five minutes you will learn how hard to push off from each side so that you hit the other side but not too hard. It's a great workout for the side of your leg where your hamstring meets your quad, and gets your heart rate up. If you squat a little (the "skating" stance), it works your glutes & calves, and works your quads more. I've even felt it a bit in the obliques during longer sessions. For the price I paid (which seems to be lower than the current price; perhaps I lucked out and got it on a lightning deal), it was more than worth it. And I haven't had any issues with not being able to glide easily on it.

Really Good and Really Bad
So, I did but this and returned it in favor of the UltraSlide. Here is why you want to get this and why you want to not get it.Why get it? It's cheap. I mean, it does not get more affordable than this for a slide board. You don't plan on using it more than once, maybe 2x a week, want to go at a slower pace. Easy to storeWhy not to get it?Not necessarily the best for staying in place or flat. You need to spray with pledge and wipe off either every use or every other. You don't move as fast as say the ultra ide or brrrr which by the way if opting for either just get the ultra and save $100 plus no difference at all. Moving back to this.. Not as fast which is a good thing if not the best balance but need to put a lot more effort in which tens to hurt your knees and hips. Not from working harder but pushing too hard. The ends bunch up if doing lunges, etc.So again great if ever casual but if plan in using it fairly often get the ultraslide. The negative to that one is might take a few weeks till you really get the hang of it very different. Feels very smooth like ice and easier on joints but you need to get used to the balance.
