THE TRUTH ABOUT THE WUNDERWAFFE is about the Third Reich's weapons of last resort, but it is a book unlike any other on the subject. The author, a former military journalist, has done extensive research on three continents, in the archives of many countries, and he has uncovered a wealth of facts about weapons and weapons systems unknown to the general public. This book is very well documented, and most of the sources have never before been presented in any publication. The main section is an analysis of a research project pertaining to a weapon that officially was and still stands beyond any normal classification-the Wunderwaffe, or, according to German documents, "a weapon decisive for the war." After its first release, THE TRUTH ABOUT THE WUNDERWAFFE became an instant classic. This fully updated and extended edition bears the same unique tone of voice and style that defined the original. Review: An "encyclopedia" of WWII German Weapons - After reading several books written by Joseph Farrell, I became interested in the various technologies developed by Germans during WWII. The one that really caught my attention was the story of the "Wunderwaffe." This book was cited within one of Farrell's own writings, so I decided to purchase it and read the story myself. When I received this book, I realized this book was a lot more in depth and well researched that I previously conceived. I was expecting a short book written by some unknown, who heard it from an anonymous individual, who revealed information in vague riddles. This book was the exact opposite. "The Truth About The Wunderwaffe" is the most researched book I have ever read on advanced WWII weaponry. The book is split up into three large parts. Part 1 is titled "Weapons of a Technological Turning-Point." Here, Witkowkski spends a great deal of time discussing the "V" series rockets, new jet bomber planes, and gives an overview of new, conventional weapon concepts. He discusses potential death rays, sound cannons, and all sorts of weapons that could be used for blitzkrieg. The second part of this book is titled "The Weapons, Which Could Change The Course of War". In this section, the author discusses the numerous guided weapons the Nazis were developing. Near the end of this part, he discusses the new types of biological and chemical weapons the Nazis were manufacturing and experimenting with. Finally, the third part of this book is titled "Kriegsentscheidend." This is the epic conclusion that I was looking for. The author examines, in detail, what the true wunderwaffe. He discusses the Nazi "Bell" and the amazing accounts of its effects. To wrap everything up, Witkowski includes a hypothetical plan that Hitler was going to use to win the second World War. After reading this book, I was truly amazed at the kind of work that a serious researcher can produce. Witkowski leads the reader on a journey through the secret weapons research department of Nazi Germany. For every claim he makes, he includes a plethora of photos, quotes, and copies of declassified documents from various nations. There is no point in disputing his claims, as everything is so well researched and presented. I recommend buying this book for anyone that is interested in Nazi weaponry whether that is the V-rockets, tanks, submarines, or death rays. You do not have to read this book chronologically because Witkowski will walk you through each chapter separately. In the end, I highly recommend this book. It will have you turning pages and wanting more as you progress through the chapters. Igor Witkowski is an astounding researcher and author. Review: Very interesting book, it held my attention! - It’s evident that Igor Witkowski did quite a bit of research in preparation before writing this book. Plenty of photos, and a complete bibliography. He does go off on a physics trajectory here and there... much of that above my understanding, so I can’t validate it’s accuracy. The parts I do understand, however, are right on target. The author took the subject matter seriously, and it shows. The book covered V1, V2, jet aircraft, artillery, the “Bell”, the unusually high infatuation with Mercury (not only by the Nazis, but by the Japanese), and much more. The Polish to English translation was a bit hokey in spots, but nothing to get upset about. It worked just fine for me. I look forward to more scholarly works from this author, in English. It was an enjoyable read!

Outstanding and Loaded With Documentation
This book is a large format book at A4 European paper size and it is chock full of photographs on almost every page and there is also much documentation of original paperwork shown in their German and Polish languages. I don't read German or Polish but Igor Witkowski was kind enough to provide running commentaries in English on on the documents he provided. Besides the flying weapons and the shooting weapons there is an extensive section on the Nazi Bell (Die Glocke) and that was my main interest in why I wanted this book. The rest of the book is pretty dang interesting too. The Nazis would probably have won WWII if the had had just a few more months to get some of these things fully perfected. Aren't we glad the clock caught up with Hitler and his band of merry men just in the nick of time before they could? I hope that Igor Witkowski will translate more of his books from his native Polish into English. This is worth every dime of the $35.95 + tax I laid out for it. Get it if you are a serious researcher.

Very interesting information
This book contains some of the best information about Nazi secret weapons projects. Some of the information is controversial and debatable. But regardless of your opinions on this subject, this is a book that should be studied. Some people discredit the "fly trap" as it is called in this book and "the henge" in others as being nothing more than the base of a water tower. Perhaps that is what it started out as being, but it could have easily been converted to use with testing die glocke or other devices without having to build a new structure. Also, the "fly trap" looks like a perfect target from the sky. If it wasn't being used for crucial testing, the Germans would have destroyed it.

Witkowski Really Scores Big
It was only a matter of time before I'd discover this book, and it was mentioned in Joseph Farrell's works on the Nazis. And it is quite a work. Excellent quality pictures. And few known facts. I was amazed at the overall quality of the book. Only one flaw, and I don't know what the source of this disinformation is, nor why it is repeatedly bandied about: When he comes to describing the Ludwikowice "fly trap" or henge, we are repeatedly told that this is where the Bell (Die Glocke) was tested. And Witkowski is not alone in this. The Bell was NEVER tested above ground -- it was even hard to control underground, let alone try to wheel it upstairs and expose it to the light of day! The Bell was never tested outdoors and what he calls a henge is merely the base of a water tower that was left unfinished. There are other similar structures in and near Der Riese, and they too often have concave cement bases to collect any leaking water... Other than that, the book is an excellent review of what the Germans were up to, and a shocking reminder that if the War had gone on for another 3 months, we'd all be speaking German today (Phillip K. Dick and his Man in the High Castle notwithstanding.) For another insight into what was going on in those times, The Earth Warrior by Hegland provides another 'alternate' and partially historically accurate review of how the UFOs came to be and that they were in fact, THE Wunderwaffe. Witkowski alludes to their development, Hegland reviews how it happened...and who did it and why -- in the guise of a fiction novel. Interesting.

If you thought that jet-fighters and the V-1 and the V-2 were the pinnacle of Nazi weapon technology, you were wrong.
This book proves one thing: The scientists and the engineers employed by the Nazis in the armaments industri during WW2 were men of genius. Look at the image on the front page, the Focke Wulf Triebflugel, which uses VTOL-technology. (Vertical Take Off and Landing) The plane never flew, but VTOL is still in use today, used by the Harrier fighter planes, employed by both the US Navy and the Royal Navy, just to mention a few. That is just one example of what you will find in this book. Every branch of the German war machine, the Whermacht, the Kriegsmarine and the Luftwaffe, had weapon prototypes that were decades ahead of the Allies. Ironically, we can thank Hitler for the slow development of these cutting edge weapons that could have turned the tide of war. He could have had the Me-262 jetfighter flying over Germany already in 1943, but after the fall of France in 1940 he cut back heavily on all weapons development projects, like the jet engines. And after wasting two precious years he orders the jet engines back into production, but its not ready before the summer of 1944, and by then the Allies dominates the sky and raw materiales, like chromium used in the building of jet engines, are rare and hard to get. The German scientist`s and engineers were truely men of genius, but the German war industry were never coordinated in the same way as the Allies were. Instead of working together, they had to compete with each other. If you want the whole story behind Nazi-Germany`s secret weapons program, read it.

Excellent read on an intruiging subject!
I have been looking for this book (in English) for quite some time, and it finally became available here. I was surprised by the high quality of the binding and the pages, and even the printing was top notch. I also loved that it was loaded with pictures, illustrations, and maps--many of which I had not seen before (and I have read a LOT about these subjects!). I was worried about how it would translate from Polish into English, but it made for an easy read. I couldn't put it down. I have read and researched quite a bit about secret weapons of the Third Reich, to include "Die Glocke", and most writings out there referred to Mr. Witkowski's research. His writing was not too technical, but he went into plenty of detail about some very interesting topics and plans that the Nazi's had before, during and after WWII. I was surprised about how much information was presented on chemical warfare preparation--scary stuff! I highly recommend this book to any history buff, and it will become a must-have for anyone that is interested in secret weapons of the Second World War.

The Truth about the Wunderwaffe A++
Book arrived promptly and with great care in the supplied packaging. The copy was pristine in every way. Many will have a binary reaction to much of the details listed-either loving or hating them.If you include this title detailing the Deutsche science and Farrell's works that outline Germany's culture of science investigation, the benefits of Witkowski's research become readily apparent,a new world concept or Weltanschauung will develop. You have been warned !
