There is no shoulder strap but it does have a little little kind of hanging way. You can put it over a little tab. Super vivid color. A nice saturation. It's not giant but it really fits our need. I live in Phoenix and I keep it with me for my son's epipens and it keeps them at a consistent good temperature. Can't talk about the heat retention but it does keep the heat out which is nice and carryability is spot on like it's got really good insulation.
