I bought this Brown Sugar Bear to stop my brown sugar from turning into a rock-hard brick, and it definitely delivers on that. The instructions are simple: soak it in water for 20 minutes, pat dry, and toss it in your airtight container with the sugar. I've been using it for a few weeks now, and my brown sugar stays perfectly soft and scoopable. No more chiseling or microwaving needed. It's cute, reusable, and seems like it'll last a long time with proper care. The only downside was that it arrived with shallow cracks all over the surface. They look like fine hairline cracks in the terracotta (not deep or structural), and it hasn't affected performance at all so far. The bear still absorbs and releases moisture just fine. I'm guessing this is common with unglazed clay items during shipping or firing, but it was a bit disappointing for a brand-new product. Overall, I'd recommend it to anyone who bakes regularly and hates hard brown sugar. It's a cheap, effective little gadget. Just be aware of possible minor cosmetic flaws.

This little bear fixed my brown sugar within an hour. It turned a Solid rock of sugar back into the fluffy texture it came out of the bag as.

It works but bought a new one this would be my third and noticed that after the initial 15 min soaking while drying it off some of the terracotta residue got on the paper towel while dabbing it dry...I've never seen that before I hope that does not break down in my sugar 🤔

This was surprisingly effective in softening up a brick hard bag of brown sugar. The smell was kind of funky when I opened it so I washed it really well and dried it before using but am super happy with the results!

this little bear of clay is super cute, so if you like cute products for the kitchen this is a must. So far it does what is promised. The brown sugar does not and clump itself into a rocky mess, and keep it fresh. Overall a great purchase.
