I used these to mount five solar panels to the roof of our bus conversion. It was a little scary because it will keep the solar panels tilted up somewhat even when I'm driving down the road, but it was necessary because the roof of the bus is curved and I couldn't get the panels to lay flat. I ended up mounting these with the recommended bolt, but I also used Dynatron 550 seam sealer (from the local auto-parts store) to mount it to the roof. I squeezed some into the drill hole before putting the bolt on, I squeezed some underneath the base of each mount, and I squeezed some all over the top and sides of the mount to keep the bolt from ever shifting. We've had it up there now for about half a year, and it is holding very strong. We've driven over a thousand miles with it on there, and it's not moving at all. The mount itself is easy to assemble, and it's easy to adjust the angle. I'm very happy and highly recommend.I got this mount as opposed to the other type of tilting mount because I needed to tilt my panels the long way instead of the short way, and the other type of mount is too short. These work great!

I purchased this to mount on the roof of my SUV. However, I put the solar panel on with metal rip ties. Never needed this product. But kept it for future use. Once I do use it in the future... I will certainly leave a review.

These tilt kits were perfect for my needs. They were easy to use and are built tough. Being far north, I extended the rails to get more tilt by ordering some 1/4 thick aluminum angle stock with the same dimensions of the rails in this kit. I was able cut the angle stock to the proper length and after drilling mounting holes was able to securely fasten them to the rails. These tilt rails have stood up to many bad storms and are no worse for wear. A year later, they still look like new. Definitely will buy again if needed.

This mount is pretty straight forward. It gives lots of flexibility in mounting angles and is plenty sturdy. I recommend it.

Great product, however they ship all the screws, washers, and nuts in a really weak bag and all those parts end up just sloshing around in the box. One of the boxes I received had obviously been returned and was badly taped and missing most of the washers and nuts. I'm not sure who's at fault but it makes the overall quality of the product look bad.

Well designed and sturdy mount system. Mine was short a bolt and washer, possibly because of a ruptured box. It took a bit of patience with Renogy support, but they took care of the shortage - and then some. I will be purchasing more from their line for sure.

I received a previously returned kit that was missing the hardware. The amazon site directed me to contact Renology for the missing items. The renology rep. told me that they sold the kit to amazon and that I should ask amazon for the missing hardware. I would think that Renology would be more concerned with their image than the cost of a few nuts and bolts. I will not recommend or use Renology ever again. They are half to blame!
