Worked for what I needed

I needed to replace the hooks on a computer back and I came across these. They were the perfect width, so I picked them up. The job is done. They work better than the ones that came with the bag to begin with as they swivel and turn as you go. Only problem now is, I have this extra pair. Why can’t things like this be SOLD IN A SINGLE PACKAGE?

Was exactly the correct size, had bought similar locally but size was not as stated. These were perfectly on size.

Really good finish on these and they are heavy duty enough to use on bag straps.

But they are NOT good for any job where any stress is placed on them...I made a pair of leather suspenders and used these snaps to go thru D-rings on the belt loop straps.Well, one of the snaps broke on the main body of the hook part about half an inch from the pivot... This was the main part not the tongue part... The part I thought was solid is actually a very thin kind of U shaped piece of pot metal.Luckily, I have some extras of these snaps but I will be visiting my local Amish harness shop for some better quality snaps in the near future.---------- If you plan to use these snaps for any thing very strenuous do not be surprised if they break because they seem to be made from inferior quality metal.... The area where this snap broke looks grainy almost like poorly bonded sand.-------------- UPDATE ---------------Pretty isn't enough of a reason to buy these...I purchased 8 of these so that I could make 2 pairs of suspenders but I am down to unbroken 5 snaps now and have some MUCH better quality snaps on the second pair of suspenders that I made.When I have broken the remaining snaps from this order, and I can pretty much guarantee that they WILL BREAK, I will replace them with the MUCH better quality snaps that I purchased elsewhere.---- CONCLUSION ----These snaps are JUNK if any strain is placed upon them.I wouldn't trust them to hold even a coin purse at this time.
