Easy to use. Do the preparation properly, get a decent thickness and it dries rock hard and is permeable too.

Firstly, I have to say that I have absolutely NO diy experience.This was the year that I wanted to give the patio a complete face lift.The original mortar (what was left of it), looked a complete mess.We have Indian sandstone (various colours) and I chose Rompox Easy Basalt as I wanted the mortar to contrast with the colours in the paving. I am very impressed with the result, the dark mortar emphasises the colour and mixed sizes of the paving.After thoroughly wetting the area, I chose to pour this into the gaps with a garden trowel and then pressed it in with a 4” shower squeegee. I wanted it to be compacted into the spaces and the squeegee helped to press the mixture in and avoid air gaps.Plus it gave it a lovely smooth finish.(Yes, I know the videos suggest brushing it in and spraying down to aid compaction – I just wanted to make sure that I really had filled the spaces).I waited an hour and brushed the excess off.After a day it has set rock hard. I’m very impressed with the results and appearance.
