Lovely movie set

Movie pack is fairly good.

Just as I ordered, and good quality.

I bought this dvd just for the movie "I Remember Mama " but I finally got to see Mildred Pierce in its entirety as a bonus. The quality of the dvd was perfectly fine with no glitches or problems. 4 movies for $9 is a ridiculously good price. The case did sustain a small chip on the spine in shipping but case was still functional.

These are all classic movies. They are great and fun to watch. I had seen they all before, so I knew I would enjoy them.

I wanted these very badly, and they played very well. Some films are hard to find, especially some of the older ones, and this package had just the ones I wanted all together in one package.

I love "classic Hollywood actresses" and in this collection one would have: Joan Crawford (Mildred Pierce), Irene Dunn (I Remember Mama), many strong female leads in "The Magnificent Ambersons" and Greer Garson in (Mrs. Miniver). What a great collection and no wonder they named it "Classic Moms'". These great Black and White films have some much to offer, especially in the genre of "film noir" which really showed how the camera could be used as the third person in the room, describing place, mood or character! I was so happy to purchase this collection for a great price and add it to my "Classic Hollywood Collection" of other great films that I desperately want to add to my many film collection.

Greer Garson as Mrs. Miniver and Walter Pidgeon as her husband. Mildred Pierce played by Joan Crawford, Welles' flawed "Magnificent Ambersons" and the original "I Remember Mama". 4 classics with a crew of Oscar recipients. One of Film Noir's masterpieces that is also a feminist standard. A film so good at touching heartstrings it is credited with readying American audiences for WWII. And perhaps the best salute to an immigrant family ever. A fantastic collection. 4 films to ponder and enjoy for years. Forever, and all 4 are wonderful prints. One of TCM's best bargains.

This is an excellent Five Star DVD collection from Turner Classic Movies. Even though I already owned a couple of the films in this collection, I still bought it! These movies are all classics, at under $10, it's well worth it. If you enjoy classic movies, this is worth getting, don't hesitate.

This collection is, to the best of the my knowledge, the only format of Orson Welles' The Magnificent Ambersons still in print on home video, which is enough to justify a purchase. The other films are wonderful, as well. This is one of the better Turner collections.
