Not cheap but well worth the money
Expensive but well worth it. They made very easy work of tapping into bright steel, which is 3/4” thick.I tried them both on a lathe and by hand, both of which were effortless, the 7th hole cutting as easily as the first.I’d previously tried the same with a tap from a cheap set and even the lathe wouldn’t cut past 1/4”.

Worth paying the extra for quality
The usual dormer quality at a great price. Although these are generally mor expensive than others, they will always outlast & outperform anything else. I use thread taps almost daily at work & when used with tapping grease these will last for years. I always end up snapping them using them in a right angle drill, in an awkward position, at arms length before they go blunt anyway!
