Great idea, but doesn't work
The metal shaft is very quick to heat up and gets quite hot, but the tip doesn't get nearly hot enough to melt any ice blocking the keyhole so you cannot actually get the shaft into the lock to free the tumblers. You end up with the hot part of the thing stuck outside the lock.

Practical little tool
I haven’t needed to use it yet, but it looks like it will work, heats up to a good temperature, so should melt the ice no problem, and also handy that’s it got a little torch for at night.

Not worth the postage I paid to get them shipped to Calgary Alberta
I bought 2 of these lock de-icers, the first one I opened and put batteries in didn't work, the second one I put batteries in used it on the canopy locks on my truck once, and the heated blade came out of the housing, very disappointed, I wish I had tried them when I first received them in the mail as I don't have a return address and request my money back.

Waste of money
Shocking and waste of money yes it gets hot but no as wide as key so does nothing at all tryed to un ice lock with it for 20mins and nothing
