A Ranger To Reckon With (Lone Star Ranger)

Good quick read. Well written and great story of the Texas Rangers. Now to move on to the third book in this series. Keep them coming James.

This is the second book in the Ranger series. It is a good follow up and the story continues. I loved the first book and I didn't find this one quite matching up to the first one but it was still very enjoyable and I am looking forward to the third book in the series.

A Ranger to Reckon With picks up where the last book left off. Nate Stewart is still learning the ropes of life in the west. Like the first book, the characters all seem way too friendly. Also, like the first book, it is light on the plot. This book follows Nate as he and his friend, Hoot, ride to town for supplies. The two of them run into a little trouble, but really the majority of the story is about two kids hanging out. If you enjoyed the first book you will enjoy this one; I recommend reading them back to back.

GREAT READING

A well written tale that follows some of the facts of the Texas Ranger lore. It does allow the reader to vicariously tranpose themselves into the time, actions, mindset and trials of the characters - would recommend.
