Rugged Protection OtterBox Defender Case for Samsung Galaxy S8+ Plus - Screenless Edition Case, Case Only - Vinyasa (Rosmarine/Plum Haze)

I wanted a replacement for my basic black Otterbox case, because of the corner being loose, but wasn't trying to spend $40 again. I love the Defender case model - I'm not crazy about my S8+ screen being vulnerable (I do have a liquid glass protector on), but as clumsy as I am with phones, Otterbox is my only choice for a phone case.So with my first S8+ Defender case, a year later and my phone is almost pristine! And honestly, every phone I've owned has been in near-perfect condition when I upgrade, thanks to Otterbox.As for this new purple S8+ case, it fits perfectly! Also, the fact that it was a little difficult to put on is a good thing.Wireless charging is completely doable, and it even stays on my vertical Samsung stand better because of the grippy texture. I tend to have my phone in my pocket a lot, and this case is also great for that - doesn't slip out when I sit down, and easily stays in my hand. I don't use a popit thing, but others say that they don't stick to this case... but I'd rather have the awesome protection than sacrifice that for a popit.On a side note, I was not a fan of the pink accents, but really wanted the plum case. My son actually suggested that I simply leave the black plastic part on! Genius! So I have a cool purple/black thing going and I love it! If you need the new plastic, this isn't an option for you, but I just needed the new outer part, so I am keeping the pink part as a back-up.Please don't be fooled by the generic case brands, especially if you can get an authentic Otterbox like this one for a discount price!

Ive protected every phone on my account with an otterbox for years. Hands down paid from themselves time and time again. Ordered this one for the wife becauae after 2 years of use the rubber was looking rough and stretched. My only complaint is I feel Otterbox missed the mark and dropped the ball on the Samsung Galaxy's curved glass. Sure, the raised ends help but its nothing compared to the built in screen protectors that used to be on the defender line. Aside from that, 5 stars.

This has been a very good purchase, the belt clip is a thing of the past for these larger phones so missing it is not a real inconvenience (plus as any former OtterBox customer knows, the belt clip is the weakest part of these and tends to break very quickly).Unfortunately as with all other OtterBoxes, the rubber casing around the hard shell will start to stretch for no reason and become loose fitting in no time. I've had this case now for roughly 5 months and it's already getting to the point that the buttons are getting difficult to press and the corners are snagging on things because they're pulling away from the hard shell.

Cell phone fell out of my husbands best while we were riding motorcycle 4 hours from home. It landed on tail pipe and road there for several miles. When we got back to hotel room is when he noticed it want in his vest. He looked over bike n find it on the pipe, case melted but not the phone!! Could not believe it! Thank God! N thank Otterbox. Ordered another when we got back home. Forget MasterCard- don't leave home without your otterbox!!!

I do have to say that at first I didn't think my phone would fit in it even though it was a Samsung 8+ and the case was advertising for 8+.....luckily my son was visiting and he was able to get my phone in it....it's a snug fit. However, that's the goal as my phone will never slip out and there is so much protection around the sides the face of the phone will never be damaged by dropping. For me personally the only draw back is that it no longer fits in my cross body phone organizer by Brighton....but I otherwise am very happy with the purchase.

I always choose otterbox cases for protecting my phone.Ever since the galaxy s4 and I've had every galaxy, note, an tablet between 2012 and now. And every single one has been secured and protected in an otterbox defender case.*** recently left my phone on top my my truck while getting the kids into their car seat... drove off for a bit made a left had turn and felt something roll off the top of my truck hit my dashboard an dropped to the hard cement going about 30 MPH.... phone was in prime mint condition!

Great protection! Couldnt ask for better assurance in your phones safety. I'm glad I bought this case, only thing I dislike about it and why I discontinued use on my phone is that the buttons for your power and volume are hard to press and after trying to press around 4 times and achieving nothing except aggravation it's hard to keep wanting to use it. Used it around 1 month or so and just hated the buttons. Also the rubber part does not fully form to the plastic casing. Also aggravating causing you to fix and refix it making it feel and look as if it's to big for the phone. And an eyesore when you look at it. At least mine personally did this making me not want to buy the defender series at all. Otherwise it's great way in making sure you keep your phone in the condition when you started using your case.

Having used Otterbox Defenders for years, I ordered one for my Galaxy S8+ despite the fact that it didn't come with a screen protector included. The manufacturer says you can use this with their alpha glass cover -- you can't. It doesn't fit snugly and cracked the morning after it was installed. So I went without a screen protector for a couple months before dropping my phone on gravel in such a way that the case didn't protect it. Now I have a badly cracked screen and can't find anything that is compatible with this case and protects the screen. I will probably buy another Defender if it comes with an included screen protector, but otherwise, looks like it's time to check out another company!

I've used otterbox before and this one as all the others is a reliable brand .I use my mobile continuously in and out of my bag and it's always falling out of my hand so this cover is very durable and sturdy I'm very happy with it just wish it had more variaty of patterns not just colours.
