MUST READ FOR STYLISTS***
As a practicing loctician since 2007, I’m constantly watching the industry innovate and evolve — but these tools finally being put on Amazon for the general public has been the one thing I hoped never would have happened.I ordered the 0.5mm set specifically to show my clients what tools NOT to use when maintaining their locks at home. They arrived in a timely fashion in a cute little box, but I was highly disappointed that they arrived with Alibaba stickers still attached to the case (couldn’t you have at least tried to hide where you’re flipping them from).Once opened I compared them directly to my preferred 0.5mm hook to find that these (while aesthetically pleasing with their bamboo handle) weren’t even the size listed/purchased. Even though the handles of these hooks stated otherwise it’s pretty clear that they are not upon direct comparison.Once I could get past the blatant size difference I then noticed that every one of these hooks have zero flex to them which, also, isn’t typical for the size ordered... furthering my suspicion that the size isn’t what is listed. The hooks themselves look as though someone cut them in half and jammed them into some bamboo with a dab of epoxy or hot glue — which you can see because someone forgot to clean up the overflow after ramming them into the handle. That said, these are most definitely NOT full tang.My suggestion is to use them to show clients that more isn’t always better. After using these to create extensions it’s become extremely clear that there is no way someone could use these without causing damage to the core structure of their natural lock even at the slowest of pace. When in use these hooks create more of a raking motion rather than the quick fluid motion that your typical single headed hook would provide.I’ve attached some photos above and will continue to update this review as I test them. The photos show size comparisons with each hook I use. These hooks are at least 0.75mm labeled as a 0.5mm — beware of what you’re buying and thanks for listening!

Best set of dread hooks I’ve used.
These are awesome. The 3 headed hook works like a charm to get those stray hairs in. I don’t suggest using it through the middle of the dreads but it’s great for collecting the loose hairs and knitting them in to the softer part of it to either side of the center. They are well made and come with a carrying case which is nice for taking them with you. Other brands have put holes in every bag I put them in.
