Q: It states these are solar panel lights but with so little sun in Scotland do the lights work well?

i live in the north east...you probably have more sun up in scotland...mine works great i dont think you ll have any problem..regards

Q: What colour temp? will they work under a small porch if used on pir only?

I would say the colour temp is 6000k ( white daylight ), as to the p.i.r ( the movement sensor ) it should work if you have good line of sight for movement detection, also you'll need to make sure the solar panel is getting enough sunlight to recharge ( as you said its under a porch ). I've bought two of these and they are very good, they detect about 20ft away and much better then the two other brands i've bought. I'm an electrician.

Q: my light will be sited under a canopy - 2 foot overhang so no sun. will the light still work?

Depending on the canopy for example tree branches or a solid porch. I have 2 of mine on the side of my house where we get no direct sunlight but they charge and work just fine. I dont think they need direct sunlight. Hope this helps.

Q: is there a warm white version?
