Simple but Effective
The PStyle is basic and it works. I appreciate the smaller size because it fits into my backpack side pouch better, it weighs less, and the hard plastic cleans well/easily. Another brand I tried had a longer funnel you had to fold back to insert in its carrying case, which was extra work/extra touching the piece, and the funnel was made of a rubber material to allow it to fold, but that made it heavier and I don’t feel rubber cleaned as well as the hard plastic. The compact size is meant to travel yet it is adequate for the purpose. You just need to place it accurately. I recommend you practice using it at home so you don’t have to fiddle around on the trail or road side figuring out optimal placement on your body. It is not rocket science, you simply need to be familiar with your body and where to place the funnel so the liquid lands where it is supposed to. A couple of practice times and you’ll have it. Also, I would keep my shoes clear from splashes by standing with a wide stance like a guy (same thing we do if we squat). Lastly, do a practice run while wearing the clothes you plan to wear when using it on the trail or traveling. I found some of my pant zippers are not low enough to allow me to keep the back of my pants in place covering my rear while pushing the front of my pants down low enough to insert the PStyle and hold it level. Elastic waistband pants are also challenging because the waistband typically won’t stretch out enough to allow you to drop the front low enough to insert the PStyle without the back of your pants pulling down to expose half your rear (nullifying the whole point to standing). The PStyle is not the problem, it is the fit of women’s clothing. Bottom line, you need to try it out with your clothing and figure out placement before you use it in public. I did not practice in advance when walking the Camino and belatedly discovered the mentioned challenges. Fortunately, I had access to bathrooms and I could skip using the funnel. I will need to use it on my upcoming Inca Trail hike, however, so I am heeding my own advice and my practice thus far has been great, it is easy to use!

Absolutely the best!
This has been a total game changer for my health and hydration. I drive for a living and can't just pull over and go potty when I want. We work as a team (four of us run together), and I'm usually the only female. When we do stop so the men can "cool the tires" ... I was usually left yanking my britches down and hoping I didn't get seen (which can get me an indecent exposure ticket) or just dehydrating myself.I started looking into female devices where I could stand and go potty fully clothed. I tried 6 brands and absolutely love this one. I buy extras to give to co-workers that are willing to give it a try. These are rigid plastic, so the downfall of these is you can't fold it up and stuff it in your pocket to be discreet (like if you're going to use a nasty porta-potty). The problem with the soft/collapsible ones is... well, they collapse. When you are using it. Not good. There were other rigid ones. The one with the hose seemed handy, until you use it. You've got to seriously control the flow of pee or it doesn't drain fast enough and you fill your jeans. Not good. The hardest part about using these is teaching yourself it's ok to pee standing up. We go our entire lives NOT peeing standing up, so sometimes it's hard to "release" the pee and go. Once you become comfortable with this device, it's easy to "release".You stay fully clothed. If you're wearing jeans, just unbutton and unzip. Stick the pStyle into your underwear and (if people are around) pull your shirt back down to cover yourself. Push the device toward the back until it gets to the "V" basically stopping at your butt cheeks. The other end is obviously still outside your clothing. You do need to point the tip downward so the pee can drain out. If you have tight jeans, you might need to lean forward a bit so you can point it downward. When done, "scrape" the pStyle along your hooha all the way to the front, removing the device from your clothing. That wipes you, and it's better than using TP. Absolutely dry down there. I keep a package of antibacterial wipes handy that I wipe the device with to clean it and stick it back in the case I made for it. It's a good idea to either buy a case or make one if you're handy with a sewing machine. I made mine, and I'm not super handy sewing. The pee does splatter when it hits the ground (so hitting a weed or grass is good) and keep in mind the wind direction. This also works really well to stick the tip into a bottle and pee in a bottle if you need to. If I end up sleeping in my vehicle, I can get on my knees in bed and go in a bottle. Sure better than getting up and going inside a truck stop at 2am.This device has absolutely saved my health and sanity. Definitely worth the try. I've put these in all our vehicles, plus keep one at home in case the bathroom is busy.
A**!
It worked! No practice needed!
[ Note: The case cost extra. I wasn’t happy about that aspect but it’s well made and worth it. ]Plain and simple, pStyle works and I can’t wait to use it “in the wild!” I have knee problems and am unable to squat. And, I’m a believer in hydration! So after some research reading customer reviews on similar products listed on Amazon, I settled on pStyle. Mostly because it was simple, took little space, and seemed doable without assembling parts, or dropping undergarments. It also seemed that a harder, less flexible material would provide a better seal than silicone.I received my unit today and decided to go for it. And not in the shower. I brazenly stood at my toilet like a man, did my business and not even one drop went astray. First try. (I was careful to follow some of the helpful tips in the reviews from people who have used pStyle successfully.)How happy am I? As happy as a full water flask in my hands and a full badder near a forest.UPDATE: Everyone should travel with this! It saved me in Europe and the Middle East many times over. No accidents, no leakage, I could pee like a man in the wild without exposing myself. Wished I had it along at Target last night when the toilets had run out of TP!!!

Really good device
Really great device. I've used other brands before, but this is by far the best one. I think bc it's firm and it's open at the top make it much more functional. Other ones I've used that were closed around the top and flexible always leak some and you have to strain to go slower than your natural stream so you don't flood out the device, but this one I can go normal stream speed and not a drop spills over. It fits very well in your "area" too. I would very much buy again!
