Extra Doorbell Push Button for Jacob Jensen Wireless Doorbell

I bought this doorbell as a replacement for one which had been mounted by the front door for three years. The old one just stopped working and it wasn't the batteries. I received the new doorbell a few days after I ordered it as promised. It was a replacement for the former doorbell. As such, it took only about ten minutes to mount on the wall where the old one was mounted. That includes unboxing it, opening the back cover of the transmitting unit and setting the wireless code to match the two doorbell units in the house. In all, I'm very happy with the whole wireless system. I also really appreciate it that Online Products Direct sent an email before I received the doorbell letting me know it was on it's way and an email after it arrived making sure that I had received it with no problems and it was working properly.

Elegant design and function. But one day the door bell stopped working for no apparent reason, despite a change of batteries. The Jacob Jensen website offers no troubleshooting help to consumers. Now I have to spend $40 on a new door bell without really knowing if the old one is fixable or not. A pricey system like this should work a little better.

Easy to install. Using two different buttons; one front and one back. Plenty loud. Really like that I can place chime unit where I want.

The doorbell works intermittently and I thought perhaps buying a new button would help. Nope, it didn't. I got a totally different entire 2 doorbell and 1 button system for less than what I paid, for this misbegotten piece of trash and guess what, it WORKS!!! And it has the most adorable owl hoot as one of the bell options! Jacob Jensen is trash. I spent a lot of money on trash. And I so hate when I waste money.

Did not get the opportunity to use as the main unit did not function with a metal framed door. Overall liked the concept and would probably recommend for those applications where the main unit functions.

Necessary if you have multiple entrances. Each button can produce one of five sounds at the chime. Good looking, easy to mount and has excellent range.

Easy to install and worked like a charm. Removal of the back is tricky. I wondered if my old button was only in need of a battery, and that perhaps I tore it up, trying to take the back off.

So far so good. I originally purchased this complete doorbell with an extra doorbell directly from the company out west. Within a year one of the doorbells did not work. I could not find the source (This is a foreign company and evidently are not in the same location) and I searched and found the item on Amazon. I purchased the second doorbell (just the doorbell) from Amazon, put in new batteries and so far it has been working.It was NOT the batteries on the one that stopped working as I changed batteries several times and nothing worked.Being a senior widow I wanted a system where I could identify the sound of the doorbell between doors and this seems to be working. I needed something that was easy for me to work with.
