Cynic now a believer......
''Cleaning'' a car for me has up to now been a bucket of water and a squirt of fairy liquid, about 4 times a year max, less if it conveniently rains a lot, I am definitely not a ''detailing'' expert and am not trying to be, so if my experience below helps anyone, then great.Car was a 14 year old daily driver VW Touareg in metallic black, large, used, abused.I wanted to see if a few applications of snow foam over the course of a couple of months and a quick removal of the obvious ingrained grit etc using a clay bar or mitt would show a noticeable improvement in the appearance of the paint which had started to become a little 'foggy'. I was not expecting much in the way of improvement, but am pleasantly surprised.Firstly, using snow foam as directed and allowing it to soak into the surface, followed by using snow foam in a bucket as a shampoo and washing with a microfibre mitt improves matters a lot over the fairy liquid approach, drying with a good quality microfibre (1200 GSM) cloth also helps a great deal, so as an exercise in cleaning, that all works quite well, with not a lot of effort or expense on my part, result. Now onto ''claying'' the surface....after watching a few youtube 'how to' vids, I decided that for me a clay bar was way too fiddly, covered such a small area at a time, would take too long, was too much effort and cost too much, so I bought this clay mitt which just slips over your hand, (so no repeated folding or risk of dropping on the floor etc,) and off I went doing my best Mr Miaggi impression...snow foam laden microfibre mitt on left hand, clay mitt on right, wash/lubricate with left, rub with right, jet wash off each panel as I went, clean the clay mitt in bucket every panel and then repeat process on next panel....all in all took about another 30 minutes more than just going round washing/shampooing the car, but I only plan on doing it once a year so that's not really a problem. In use, you initially feel the mitt dragging on the surface and hear the roughness of the paint, but 3 or 4 light linear wipes with this clay mitt and it all goes quiet and glides smoothly, so then you just move onto next area, it really, really, is that simple folks, so don't be scared of giving it a go.After a final jet wash, the drying cloth just glides over the surface now rather than feeling a resistance, and water beads and runs off faster. The reflection of things in the body panels is noticeably more sharper rather than subtly blurred, and the windscreen wipers (I clay mitted all the glazing as well) also chatter a lot less in use.I would recommend buying 2 clay mitts if you are doing an older neglected car that's never been clayed before, they are cheap, and then throw the first one away after really going over the car properly, it will be noticeably the worse for wear so why would you run the risk of using it again on your freshly decontaminated car? use the new one every 6 months or a year and follow by a wax or polish and the worse of the British weather should have no effect.Happy Days.#Follow up advice :- The clay mitt will come with a clear plastic sheet covering the ''sticky'' clay of the mitt, don't throw it away when you dispose of the outer packaging, cover the clay again with it after using the mitt and it will stay contaminate/fluff/lint etc free when you store it.

I am converted!
After using traditional clay, I thought I would try a mitt instead. Wow - how convenient! Because it is a mitt it means I can get a lot more done quickly as there is a much bigger surface area to work with.Word of warning - keep the mitt flat and rub consistently. Do not rub a finger on a stubborn blemish, else the clay can leave the mitt and transfer onto the paintwork leaving a sticky streak! This happened to me - but a quick spot of 'tar remover' and it removed immediately and very easily.

Awesome! Get the finish of clay, in a quarter the time!
This product is a real game changer for me! I had been wanting to go over my car with clay, but I was not looking forward to the task! It takes a long time, and a lot of effort to do, and I was not looking forward to this.I came across this product, and heard good things, so had to try it out.I can definitely say that this product enabled me to get the finish I wanted, with much less time and effort.I cleaned the car with snow foam, rinsed it off, went over it with the clay mitt. I followed up with some Soft99 Fusso, and got an incredible shine, as shown in my picture.

Never need to clay bar again!
Like many I was sceptical but I have to say it was fantastic. I used it with autoglym rapid detailer (because that’s what I had in my detailing box) and it turned an already smooth paint surface into a mirror finish. Easily as good as a clay bar apart from small spaces and awkward shapes where you will still need the clay. Cuts the overall clay time down by 70%. Not sure how long it will last but I guess time will tell.

Great product
I have always used clay bars in the past and then discovered the existence of clay mitts. Thought I would give this a try and first impressions are good. So easy to use compared to a clay bar. Wash the car thoroughly and rinse off then it’s just like washing the car again but with the the clay mitt and lots of very soapy water. Rinsed again and dried and the paint was super smooth. Rinsed the mitt out and allowed to dry before storing ready for next use. Time will tell regarding longevity but I would be amazed if this doesn’t end up representing better value than a clay bar with no sacrifice in terms of performance. I suppose it may be more difficult to get into nooks and crannies but for large panels it is just so quick and easy.

excellent product, unbelievable end result, especially after adding ceramic wax
Great product, worked wonders with my paint work, must use a liquid as a barrier to the paint work so u don't damage the paint. I used an autoglym detailer an the only issue I had was when the detailer ran a little dry the glove moved off the hand quite easily so u must keep the barrier between the glove and the paint work always lubricated. Other than that the product was brilliant and very easy to use, had my nissan xtrail clay mitted in under 30 minutes and then I machine polished the car and the paint work not only looked better than new but to the touch I could feel how well the paint work was, smooth as a babys bum and felt and looked amazing, well worth the money and time

Super easy with fantastic results
I’ve never had to clay before in 31 years of polishing/ waxing cars. However I’d managed to get some rather stubborn tree sap and contaminants on the paintwork, could feel it under light finger touch.Followed the instructions, washed the car as normal, then s fresh bucket of soapy water to go to work with the mitt. Incredible, you can feel the contaminants just lift away leaving paintwork as good as new. Very very pleased with the result. Great prep pre waxing the car. Will definitely buy again if/when this one needs replacement- fantastic product.
