What is the max solar input for this model?

Hi, The max solar input is 150Voc and 35 Amps. For the Open Circuit Voltage (Voc) this can be found on your solar panels. If your panels are wired in series add this up to give total Voc and if in parallel then add up the current (A) to give total current (A). Hope this helps! EPS Team.

Hi I’m looking at running 3x200w solar panels wired in series, so total will be 116.4v and 5.15amps will this mppt work with that?

The Victron 150/35 controller has a max solar voltage limit of 150V, so your panels are within this limit. However, the power produced by the panels will exceed the rated current of the controller if charging a 12V battery supply (600W/12V =50A). Therefore, if you have a 12V battery supply the 150/35 controller would not be suitable for you. If you are charging a 24V battery supply the current passing through the unit will be lower (600W/24V = 25A). So, if you are charging a 24V battery supply, your 600W array would be suitable for the panel.

I have 6 panels, each is 500w, and produces a constant 50v. so i assume that each panel produces 10amps? but i have 6. what do i need? battery is 12v

Thank you for your interest in our Victron solar controllers. This controller is capable of accepting up to 500W of solar input while charging a 12V battery bank, so you would only be able to wire one panel into this controller before you exceed its limitations.

If you can change the voltage of your battery bank to 48V, then this controller can accept up to 2000W of solar input, and could therefore take four of your 500W panels at the same time.

Question 4

You state "style name: 12/24v" but victron data sheet claims this controller can have a battery voltage of 12v/24v/48v. is this correct?

Thank you for your enquiry.

This is the older model which is limited to 12/24V only, however on the Photonic Universe amazon store we have the newer model which can be used on a 48V system with up to a 2000W solar input.
