Madrid Map (National Geographic Destination City Map)

This is the first time we've bought a NG map for a foreign destination and it is just as outstanding as the many of their maps we've used for domestic trips (particularly National Parks). Just enough narrative text is dropped in to provide key information for airport arrival, a quick guide to public transit, and a delineation of key attractions and points of interest. I wish there were a digital companion as this full-sized map is a bit unweildy for walking. And because Madrid is so immense, the detailed major portion of the map does not extend out to the airport or IFEMA, the major conference and event facility.You may not realize that NG is no longer the science- and academy-driven non-profit governed by a distinguished non-profit board of directors and dedicated to exploration, as it was known through its storied and unparalleled history; it is now a commercialized venture. Still, their maps are among the finest in the world

We are visiting Madrid and want to see where different lodging options are located. Clear map and easy to find other major sites like the train station, museums and plazas.

Durable, practical, light weight

Map was very useful in planning our 2024 visit to Madrid, such as hotel location, hop-on-hop-off routes and points of interest .

I think this map of Madrid is great. It has maps of Madrid and the surrounding roughly 25 miles of roads, towns etc, a map showing Madrid's location in central Spain, a larger map showing central Madrid with attractions, roads etc i a no-squint size and on the other side is a map showing more of the Northern and Southern reaches of the city, also easy to read. There is a nice map of the metro, very nice description of points of interest, a legend and a location index. I bought a Streetwise Madrid map before this and although it does have the advantage of being half as large and thicker material, the graphics make it much tougher to find what you are looking for.

It is a good map but comparing it to the other one I ordered on Barcelona, this map did not rate nearly as well.I was sorry about that.
