The storage slot also charges a little supercapacitor (read as: weak but very fast lil' battery) inside the pen to make it work. This takes about 5-10 seconds and will power the pen for a few hours.Cannot be charged without the correct device.Pen is OEM and even comes with the premium rubber tip that provides a better writing feel on glass vs a full plastic tip.

I bought this as a back-up because I use my Lenovo Yoga laptop as a tablet for teaching online, so I keep one in the charger (which is built into the Lenovo, a wonderful convenience) and one in my hand or next to the mouse. If you want the best touch screen device for use with Windows, the Lenovo is the one you want. I had a Microsoft Surface Pro but it was MUCH more "clunky" and harder to use.

I received a stylus that doesn't fit my Lenovo Yoga X1 Gen 4, this model # should fit. As you see in the picture the orientation of the lip of the pen is different from the picture, thus it doesn't even go into my Yoga's pen port. Returned it. I don't know what this goes to but it's not compatible with 4X80K32539.

I thought I was ordering a Lenovo stylus that retails for $39. For $39 I was sent this cheap knockoff with no USB holder in a plain cardboard box. I sent it back.
