One of the pieces was damaged when we opened the box. I called the company & they sent a replacement piece, no problem at all. After assembling, which was simple, the finished product looks great with the matching headboard.

It wasn't too hard to put together but did take two of us and about 2.5 hours. Very sturdy, comfortable, and I love the color. Definitely decide where you want it because it is already heavy without the drawers or mattress, and it takes muscle to move it.

First to review this? OK! I ordered this as my 3 year old son's first "big boy bed." What attracted me to it was the color and the additional storage space - something we never seem to have enough of in our 115 year old historical home.Lets get the bad out of the way: the bed arrived heavily damaged. It's important to know that the bed is all, essentially, particle board / press board that has been laminated. The lamination is delicate. That all being said, the bed was so heavily damaged in shipping that it probably wouldn't have mattered if the thing was made out of metal... shame on you UPS.The good: after the initial epic letdown that me and my son felt not being able to get his "Big boy bed" put together, I called South Shore and the lady was extremely pleasant. I gave her a list of all the parts that were damaged, she apologized and genuinely seemed empathetic of my son's disappointment, and said the new parts would be shipped to me free-of-charge. Also, because the damaged parts were so large, she told me to just keep the damaged ones. Nice customer service.The replacement parts arrived in (About) 5 days, and whomever packaged these suckers up went crazy with the wood, styrofoam, cardboard, shrink wrap and tape. These things could have survived a bomb blast. Well played South Shore.Assembly was very easy. I'd put it on par with an Ikea piece - MAYBE slightly easier as the pictures of the pieces actually showed a level of detail that made it easy to orient the pieces properly. There's been times where I've been putting together an Ikea piece and it shows holes equally spaced that are definitely NOT equally spaced, and you're left wondering if you just made a mistake that's going to bite you 20 steps later and cause you to drink heavily. Remember I said this bed is essentially laminated pressboard. That means this thing can't get wet, and how it stands the test of time is yet to be seen - but it's a $200 bed... soooooo.. set your expectations properly?I took my time and between carrying the pieces upstairs to my son's room, orienting myself around their numbering and directions, assembling it, it probably took me about 2~2.5 hours all-in.Would I buy this bed again? Yes, but again, I'd set my expectations properly going into it.

Very happy. I love the blueberry color. However, it's a project to assemble. Even if you're handy, give yourself three hours to build this and take your time. I also used wood glue on the joints (not included), in which I highly recommend doing. The unit arrives in two separate boxes, and they're both heavy. So make sure you build this in the place where you intend to keep it, because it is very heavy once assembled. Not tough to build, just time consuming. Overall, we're very happy with it. Although it's made of partical board, it seems to be decent quality. Overall, we're pretty happy with this item. I would recommend.

So glad with this purchase, the instructions were clear, its sturdy, and it's cute! Me and my sister had this put together in about 4 hrs, and most of that time was lifting the box inside cause it was heavy XD suggest having a dolly cart and having a someone to help sort the peices while putting it together!

Been trying to get all the parts together for this bed... bought the whole suite... probably the worst mistake I have ever made... Absolutely no support... been working on this for over a week now... Assembling the headboard, nightstand, dresser and such is a breeze... but the particle board will give before the locks fully engage... so massive reinforcement is needed everywhere... Used a total of 56 1/2x2 "L" brackets, 20 1x1 corner reinforcement brackets, 12 1/4-20x3 bolts, nuts and fender washers to reinforce this... PLUS UPS lost the second box to the bed... took 4 days for them to research and find it 40 miles away... when it got here and got it unpacked and continued assembly... almost finished assembling the drawers when I noticed a hole, used to secure the side of the drawer was missing... that was the final straw... but neither Amazon nor South Shore offers returns... so I am stuck waiting on another part from Canada... 10 more days... I should have just went to a local furniture store and got a real wooden bed... at least then I would actually be able to talk to a person... Not worth the hassle and frustration dealing with this type of purchase...

I love my new bed, it was easy to assemble and it's a good value for money.

the quality of the boards are great. the connectors? not so much. they just flat out suck. get wood glue from the get go and it's fantastic :)

We purchased two of these bed frames and I love them!! They are very sturdy, they were also easy to put together!! They sipped out and arrived quickly!!

Very good by for the money. Will take a couple of hrs to assemble.

Great bed for a smaller room. Very easy to assemble, did it on my own. Made sure all the parts were in the box and there was no damage, then about 2 hrs later bed was assembled.

Pour mon ado, du rangement supplémentaire bienvenu! Je l'ai monté toute seule et c'était pas si difficile avec les instructions! La couleur est belle ,les tiroirs glissent facilement, il est robuste! j'adore!
